For several years I consistently had acrylic nails because I couldn't stand chipped polish. I eventually got sick of being tied to regular appointments and the way the acrylic nails would yellow at the bottom. For several years after that, I rarely painted my nails because it seemed like they were chipped or smudged almost immediately. Then gel polish was invented and even better, gel polish kits for at-home application! I received the full SensatioNail kit (with light & polish) as a gift and purchased this Essentials kit to refill the items I was running low on. I love that they sell this "refill" kit on its own - it's really inexpensive and the sizes of each item make it so that I'm usually running low on everything at the same time. The quality of this kit seems on par with gel manicures I've gotten at the salon and I'll definitely buy again!Like most people, I rely on honest product reviews to make purchase decisions. I kind of knew what I am buying as I used to get this product from the local store and was quite happy with it. Unfortunately, the local store doesn't carry it anymore, so I looked it up at Amazon. I like this set, easy to use and saves a lot of money for your nailcare. There was an issue with the delivery and the seller solved it right away. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have been using Sensational Gel Nail products for several years. I had been going to a salon for manicures and became very sensitive to some of the products. Had to stop using much of anything on my nails but missed pretty nails. Heard about Sensational and tried it. Never stopped !At first the colors were very limited. As i am older I didn't care for some of the "new colors" that the younger women wear but they have now expanded the selection and I have even tried mixing them. I have read that you can even use regular polish if you let it dry very good before adding the top coat it works but haven't tried that yet.My main objection is removing them but if I remember to buff the surface first it helps. Also you have to be very careful about the edges and cuticle area as the polish tends to lift. After a few tries you can get a very nice look that does stay about 2 weeks with no chipping.

It's VERY important to use the base/top coat along with the colored polish (using the light in between coats), because if you don't use it, the color is sticky and doesn't set, resulting in a mess of polish that just needs to be removed and redone and then topped with the base/top coat (I haven't tested to see if the base coat is actually needed or not as the first layer of polish). I didn't know the base/top coat HAD to be used because I had other polish that didn't need the top coat (it must have a top coat mixed into the polish). Since then, I've actually liked just using the base/top coat as a clear polish.

This isn't 3.2 oz as advertised. Aside from the fact that summing up the ounces in the product is misleading for the consumer, the actual volume of the shipped products was 1.784fl oz.Gel primer - 0.12fl ozGel cleanser bottle #1 - 0.92 fl ozGel cleanser bottle #2 - 0.494 fl ozGel base coat - 0.25 fl ozThe gel cleanser is just rubbing alcohol, and they conveniently provide 2 whole bottles of that. The base coat bottle is tiny, about half the size of the gel polish bottles.That said, the product works fine. But it doesn't deserve a higher rating due to a complete and intentional false advertising.Update: They contacted me and sent me a few items, so I guess it's not bad for the price

I love these products from Sensationail. At first it was a little difficult to do it myself, but the Sensationail website has a lot of videos that that you can watch to get the most out of their gel polish. Capping the nail with the base coat and gel polish is key to making it last a long time. Also don't let a lot of the polish gather around the cuticle area. I like the essentials kit because it comes with the cleanser and the wipes which are hard to find in my area.
