Positives:-The physical quality of the book is perfect. The cover of the book feels strong, durable, and pristine. The pages of the book share the same qualities.- The artwork found within the book is captivating and adds a deeper level of immersion.- The text is very flavorful and keeps you entertained as you're reading the rules and nuances of the 3.5 edition of Dungeons and Dragons. Regarding the rules, they are very complex. Speaking as a newcomer to Dungeons and Dragons, there are many variables and rules to take into account. At first, the amount of rules that stand before you feels overwhelming. However, the rich text will grab you and entice you to read more. Eventually, you will get a solid understanding of the lore and rules that go with play.- There is an ample amount of examples that gives you another level of understanding. This helps tremendously if you are just coming to the game.Negatives:- As stated before, if you are just beginning in Dungeons and Dragons, there is a very steep learning curve.- There isn't really a solid walk though in regards to setting up your character sheet. You have to do a lot of cross referencing with various pages and chapters.- Combat system seems a bit lacking in regards to spell castors. This may just be an opinion derived from my newness, but only being able to cast a set amount of spells per day without having to restudy your spells from your spell book seems restrictive.

I loved the fact it was a new book. Advertised as like new. It is a reprint of the original, more than I paid for the original but still all I am quit happy. The bind scraks with every new chapter.

I only recently got back into D&D after playing over 30 years ago in the Late 1970's - Early 1990's. Back then I played the 1st edition of the Basic D&D set and the Advance D&D set. I still have some of my books. Some of my friends got back into playing D&D recently and I joined them. The system was chosen that we would use 3.5! The only way you could get 3.5 D&D books was through the used market and the price was quite high for the used books. Since then Wizards of the coast re released the 3.5 core books and I bought them all. The books contain the same information plus the errata updated information in them. The quality of the book is very well done (Hardback). And Amazon has a great price on it compared to some of our local gaming stores, so I took advantage of buying them through Amazon. The book shipped quickly and was worth the price. If you are looking for a good D&D system, I highly recommend giving the 3.5 version a try. I think you'll like it.

i have been playing d&d for a couple of years, always passing around one or two books, or using PDFs. the consensus of my usual groups is that 3.5 was the superior version and everything after was inferior. all that aside this book is marvelous, i love not having to ask someone to pass me their book or scroll and wait for the PDF to load. the book itself is exceptional quality with a high quality cover. the content as i have stated before is in our opinion wizards' best work. definitely recommend for new and seasoned players.

The quality of the book is superb, and it does include a lot of the errata that is advertised. As other buyers have pointed out, however, it does not include *all* of the errata that is promised. In addition, I have noticed a few typos that could have been corrected before Wizards of the Coast sent the manuscripts to print. All in all, however, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and I fully intend to purchase another copy or two for my players to paw through while I keep my "DM" set carefully preserved.

In my area, gaming geeks prefer this version, though they do have certain parts of other versions they prefer. Me, as I am new to D&D, pulled a sheeple and am following along with those who know, and am learning as we go, taking their advice on game-play while we laugh and enjoy getting or being slaughtered by some nasty something or other.For now, I'm quite content with the content...sorry, couldn't resist. Very graphic, lots of details, fun to peruse for new character building. We usually do our own story-line, so don't really use those parts of the book much but as a N00B, it's been a nice to have my own guide to learn with.And my dice are bomb-diggity ;p

This book is exactly what everyone would expect... One of the most infuential, best-written, and thoughtful texts in role playing history... It is truly a masterpiece of rpg design. It has influenced all others... It has been influenced by all that came before.This is the 3.5 d20 system in a nutshell. It contains the character (player) elements for development in a fantasy role playing environment. It also incorporates all of the previous errata into this new printing. In short, this is "IT". If you don't have a copy of this textbook, you probably don't understand contemporary role playing games. This text is essential for players and DM's across the globe.I sold my original 3.5 text a few years ago, hoping that 4.0 would be a superior system. I was wrong. This is the best that there is (and Pathfinder RPG rightfully inherited its legacy). I encourage all RPG fans to buy a copy before the print run expires!- Dr. Bull

D&D 3.5 é a melhor é maior versão do RPG mais famoso do mundo. O livro do jogador é o livro mais básico e importante da 3.5, e essa edição do livro, em específico, é a versão definitiva.O livro tem tudo o que o original de 2003 tinha, mas o inclui errata, algumas coisas extras é uma escola de magia adicional, Polymorph, extremamente necessária dada a forma como Polymorph funcionava originalmente.O livro é absolutamente lindo. Na verdade da até pena de usar. Eu mesmo não pretendo usar o livro, e ao invés disso vou usar os PDFs e provavelmente comprar a versão original de 2003 pra usar na mesa (já que eu possuo apenas o da 3.0, de 2000, que é obsoleto).Vale notar que eu comprei o livro e ele chegou com a capa bem danificada, erro de fábrica mesmo. Abri um ticket pra troca ass que recebi o produto e em menos de 2 horas eu já estava levando o mesmo aos correios pra devolução, dada a eficácia e velocidade do serviço de atendimento ao consumidor prestado pela Amazon. Em coisa de 6 dias eu recebi outra cópia, lacrada e em perfeito estado, sem qualquer custo adicional pra troca.

A beautifully made book for a brilliant game.Literally years worth of fun has been had with these books, glad I could finally buy my own copy rather than having to borrow a friend's all the time.
