These have held up well and I've had some success using them. I feel like it was money well spent.

Easy to use and grow. I trimmed back bark as shown almost 2 weeks ago. I will check it out in a couple of days to see how it's growing. Make sure to u cut back enough bark to get to meat of the plant.

I started a magnolia and 2 mimosa trees all at the same time. As you see in the pictures, the mimosa did GREAT! I didnt take pics of the end result for the magnolia, but it was still a bare limb as if I had started it yesterday. No growth. I left them to root for about 5 weeks with these results. I just started a fig and I'm sure it will do great as well since they are so easy to propagate.

This set comes with 5 larger boxes & 5 really small boxes! I missed that on description! Thought they were all a decent size. The small 5 are not very practical! So small I don't think most tree & shrub branches will fit. I could be wrong, we'll find out next spring. I'll try them all then. Thick plastic though. Pretty good value, for the money.

I tried taking cutting from various trees (Magnolia, Maple, Peach) and various rooting hormones and setups to get them to root with no luck. That being said, I'm sure the problem was still with me because with these, I was able to get roots growing! These aren't magic, and I know you can use material that is readily on hand for most people to DIY something like this and they do take some maintenance in that you have to water them every now and then if there is no rain but, if you're having trouble like I was, make it easy on yourself and buy a pack and you should be good to go. I used coco coir and Perlite in the ball and rooting hormone powder on the cut area of the branch, YRMV. Also, you can use small binder clips to keep them shut should you run out of zip ties.

These don't work that well. Better to just use a plastic bag. Not enough space for the roots. The black color makes it hotter. Wasn't really a fan. Also the clip to secure it isnt too great.

Easy to fill and apply (they give you zip ties but there is also a built in closure tab - works great). Two sizes - Large and Small - probably should have bought the all smalls pack as the large size are quite large (ie.. for Trees!). They are reusable and sturdy so i highly recommend them.

Easy to use. Could dry out if not rapped with plastic of some sort.

The pods seem sturdy enough. The built in clasp allows you to let go of the pod while you secure it with the zip ties. Unfortunately, the zip ties provided are too wide to pass through the holes. You will have to buy thinner zip ties or use bonsai wire. The wire is easier to use and is reusable.

These little pods make air layering do much easier!!!! Buy them. You won't regret it. You'll save money, by being able to clone your plants/trees. Well worth the investment.
