Herzeleid - XXV Anniversary Edition

I've been listening to Rammstein for a long time - I think the first song I ever heard was "Du Hast", and I'm sorry to admit that, because that's probably very cliché. It's no doubt that's the most recognized song they made. Anyway, my older brother was the one who originally showed me that song, and I later discovered he had both their first two albums on CD (Herzeleid, and Sehnsucht). I put the first album on, and just wow. I've never learned any other language beyond english, but Rammstein's music no doubt is some of the best stuff I've ever heard! I was going to start ordering their entire CD catalog this year (2017), and subsequently I got a new turntable a couple of weeks ago and have been finding newer record LP presses either at my local Barnes & Noble (really the only place I can shop for music locally anymore, since the only other options are Best Buy, Wal Mart and Target, and all suck to be honest.... VERY small selections and ONLY CD's, not that that's bad, but I do enjoy me some good vinyl record LP's) or here on Amazon. I decided for the hell of it to see if any of Rammstein's albums were available on vinyl, and lo and behold, they are! Well, to some degree from my understanding.... I do not believe this double LP record was a stand-alone release, despite being available as such here on Amazon - I've seen and read there was a box set from two years ago (2015) that is their entire catalog on vinyl record LP's (double LP records per album). This is the BEST record LP I've gotten lately! Sounds clean and crisp, and without a doubt better than any CD or otherwise (heard MP3's and Youtube uploads through the years) release of Rammstein's first album! NO skipping or repeating of ANY sort at all, which is great considering, I recently bought the Ramones album Rocket To Russia (from my local Barnes & Noble), and first song of the second side skipped like crazy! I got it exchanged for something else, and I came on here to read reviews on it - lo and behold, it was NOT just Barnes & Noble's copy, but MANY that others have bought even from Amazon! Apparently the Rhino record pressing plant screwed up the Rocket To Russia presses. Anyway.... For $50, this was money well spent for one of my favorite metal albums of all time!

Amazing recording. Very good quality

Amazing quality, sounds great and the vinyl is a sick splatter edition. Packaging is exquisite as always with Rammstein but this anniversary edition is just amazing. It feels like it should have cost twice what it does.

The Album itself is a good starter for the bands currently legacy. The sound is powerful and goes well with all my other records

This is a great reissue of Rammstein's first album. The vinyl is flat and quiet. Just a little light cleaning. This is a great addition to my Rammstein collection.

Great album solid pressing

Awesome album and to finally have it on vinyl. Sounds great and I have an average middle of the road player and simple speakers. Both albums play perfectly and the blue splatter along with the rest of the packaging is absolutely perfect and vibrant. So glad to finally have this in my collection

Brilliant debut album from Rammstein! Industrial rock at it's finest!

i was made aware of rammstein through the use of two tracks from this album in david lynch's magnificent 'lost highway', particularly the pulsating and relentless 'rammstein' - never followed up in any way until my wife declared an interest thru' 'made in germany', the untitled latest album, and the two lindemann records, so we've been buying backwards from there (and disturbed the sequence to buy this), and with great delight, it has to be said - one thing we have found is that rammstein don't seem to deal in filler of any description, very high quality control, as well as producing tremendously powerful, direct and clever material. i'm strictly punk 'n' reggae, but have to say i'm a convert! this means we're taking a different approach to the 're-mastering' issue, whereas we don't have an original release for comparison purposes, so my tuppenceworth is based on what appears to be excellent mastering - and a great album. which is just as well, as one thing i've noticed is that it's an expensive business being a rammstein appreciator ('untitled' rushed me £25 for the special edition, in a shop! remember those?), and this was about £18 (but i can't put a price on my wife's interests now, can i?), but when you consider the elaborate and very pleasing packaging this comes in, it's evident that quality is being pursued and i can't complain. also i see folks complaining about the lack of extra tracks, but why include something of demo quality to tag on to the end? tawdry? no? oh yeah, the album? it's a 25th anniversary edition of an excellent record which is the blueprint of all that follows! my wife and i are most satisfied! (only 'sehnsucht' and 'mutter' to go now).
