Installed on 2002 DR-Z400S.Pros: Plate is thick, welds seem solid, hole placement is accurate. I haven't yet bashed it hard enough to break anything, so that's good!Con: The little wings that come up the sides to protect the edges of the engine case got a bit in the way of my hitting the foot brake and gear shift. Not every time, but if my foot was a bit crooked I would get hung up on the edge of the skidplate. I ended up applying a bit of grinder to it and am happy now, but a little nuance in the side contours would improve this skidplate.

The product mostly fit. It requires some brute force to get it into position because the screws are so short. I have put about 700 miles on it and it seems sturdy enough, but it hasn’t taken any hard hits yet. Biggest complaint is that the sides get in the way of the break and the shifter. I am going to have to grind some pieces off so it doesn’t get in the way of shifting or breaking.

Thick aluminum, the bolts lined up, but I gave it for stars because the finish was rough.
