Daily Language Practice 9th Grade +: Use It! Don't Lose It!

I definitely recommend this workbook. I homeschool my son and this is an excellent tool. He’s 15 and a freshman. I feel that this age needs a refresher on basic grammar rules, sentence structures and grammatical rules in general. It’s convenient that the answer key is in the back and easy to understand.I definitely recommend!!

This book is perfect for a small dose of ELA that doesn’t overload the student. My son who hates ELA doesn’t mind at all completing his daily tasks in this book.

I have some very advanced Language Arts 5th and 6th grade students and was looking for some worksheets to hand them when they finish ahead of everyone else. This book includes very useful material. My only issue with it is there is not enough room on each page to photocopy and handout for immediate use. Students need additional paper to be able to properly address each question. However, the material in this is varied and interesting, and the level is high enough I would say it is realistically at 9th grade level. If you are looking for some easy to assign, thoughtful exercises, this book is a good addition. It just wasn't quite right for my purposes.

Great for helping increase reading skills and vocabulary. My son who doesn't care to read doesn't mind doing this at all. It makes learning fun!

I was looking forward to using this with my struggling tenth graders, but a lot of the questions and exercises will not be understood by them. I will have to teach mini lessons and a lot of grammar before students would be able to answer many of the questions. I do not know if all teachers would be able to use all the exercises as is. I also have taught regular 9th graders and honors 10th graders for years and do not think this could be used completely as is for them either. I do like many of the #5 exercises. I believe those are most helpful for test prep.

I purchased this book for my 9th grader's daily practice in Korea. It has a short but very useful project for each day. It is very helpful to learn or review a language skill for his age. I love this book.

Keep busy for summer

I like the fact that there is a helpful variety of exercises for brushing up, or even pin-pointing spots of weakness. We're not into some of the subjects utilized, like the Greek gods and goddesses, etc. But overall, not boring.
