This is a really good book. I used it in school as will as in practice. I pictures are awesome even though they are textbook. We know that all patients present differently. My medical director wanted to purchase the book from me but I said no. Would purchase again. A good reference.

Looks like a good resource for a primary care practitioner students
I haven't actually read this book yet, just glanced through the pages and looked at some of the headings and photos and couple of the sections. The photos alone are worth the price. The ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes are listed right under every topic. I love the way that the content is organized, and it is the perfect size---not too heavy or unwieldy. I will definitely be using this book a lot. Wish it came in hardcover though.

Very good resource
I work in an urgent care. So far this book is sitting my needs. Sometime I will compare with my colleagues book which is the edition before. I know there are less pages than the last edition, but there is an awful lot of material in here.My one gripe is the way the book is organized. So far I have had a hard time finding some things in this book. That is partly my fault, as I only look at the book when I need to look up something specific.I agree that the binding seems a little flimsy. I am pretty careful with how are i use it and where I put it. So I knocked off a star. But many urgent care providers use this book. It is the best compact derm book I know of.

My concise bible
Newer and different pictures, closer in may ways to what I see in practice with good realistic color. Some older additions just seemed to be a rehash of older additions. Best part is this edition has ICD 9 codes-that's a lbor saver until the move to 10 occurs.

Must Have!
Great book with lots of detailed information and awesome pictures. Gives actual drug names which is helpful instead of just their category. PA Student in Dermatology and my preceptor has consulted my book numerous times!

You can't help but love this book
You can't help but love this book. It has so much more to offer than the last edition. The pictures are even updated with more illustrations. This is the best derm book thus far, I'd say.

Benificial To My Practice
This atlas is definitely going to be one of the books I use in my practice as an NP. There are so many different skin disorders and this book wil b useful in diagnosing. The shipping time was very fast.

good reference, not a quick read
As a fourth year medical student, I was looking for something concise enough to read in 1-2 weeks yet with enough detail for someone interested in dermatology. I also wanted color pictures. I'm not sure this book fits the bill completely. It does have plenty of visuals and is proving to be an easy read so far, but it is much more detailed than expected. I will really have to hustle to get through everything before my rotation ends.My main gripe, though, is the poor editing. I have been reading this book for only three days and have caught at LEAST 3 errors related to spelling or grammar. For example, on page 19, "fare skin" is listed as a predisposing factor for irritant contact dermatitis. On page 61, this sentence exists: "For doses, warnings, and side effects." Where is the rest of the sentence? Whoever is editing this book needs to do a better job or hire me, because errors like these are embarrassing and decrease the credibility of any text.
