What the heck! I was a new teen in the late 1960's. Still listen to my vinyl from back in the day. Never liked the complete black light effect so I figured, maybe these would add some spice to my classic rock listening. Easy enough to put them up and the static blue is close to a "black light effect". When listening to other musical choices I just change the color! Rhapsody In Blue (Gershwin) is much more appreciated with a change in everyday lighting.

(I don't know if this applies to all models of Vizio TV remotes or Daybetter strips/remotes- the original receiver box that came with the LED light strip never had that issue- this may just be an odd coincidence with the specific box and remote I own) I purchased this to go with the (Daybetter Smart Led Lights 32.8ft, Led Strip Lights) I ordered, as the basic remote it came with didn't do exactly what I wanted. This remote kit does exactly what I wanted to get the hues I was looking for, so I can readily say it's an excellent product for what it is! However, I also have a Vizio TV in the same office I installed the lights (on the same wall- though different sockets) and I discovered that the frequencies for the 'okay' button in the center of the TV remote changes the light color! (SOLUTION- once you get the lights set where you want, just cover the plug box and the pins in aluminum foil to keep it from being affected). So outside of that odd little quirk that I worked around, I'm very happy with it! To be honest, this amused me more than anything once I got it set up the way I wanted and shielded the receiver for the lights. However I can see this as a possible irritant for individuals that want to be able to change their lights on the fly and might be affected by this 'feature'. (The Vizio remote in question is the Remote XRT122 for Vizio LCD LED TV E32HC1 E40-C2 E40C2 E40X-C2 E40XC2 E43-C2 E43C2 E48-C2 E48C2 E50-C1 E50C1 E55-C1 E55C1 E55-C2 E55C2 E60-C3 E60C3 E65-C3 E65C3 E65X-C2 E65XC2 E70-C3 ) AGAIN I don't know if this is *all* Vizio remotes or Daybetter receivers- as the original one that came with the strip lights didn't have this issue at all. I would just feel remiss not mentioning this possible 'quirk' with this combination.

This kit only needs a power supply to complete the lighting kit. The remote had the green and blue buttons reversed however once I knew that it was simple to use. Programing can be tricky however the fade and flash functions work well.

Good, even bought extras for when my daughter loses them.

I run my lights about 18 hours a day/night. It seems like I was going through the other brands way too fast but these seem to last much longer.

I bought this as a replacement for the one that came with the lights, which lasted about six months. This one too lasted six months. Last night, the lights came on on their own and the remote would not turn them off. I replaced the battery, issue persisted. This is exactly what happened when the last one died. I'd be ok if I got a year or two out of one, but six months is ridiculous.

I enjoy the LED lights especially that I can sync the lights to my music creating an ambiance of whatever I’m feeling at the moment.

I already had a day better set with two reels of lights one power supply and one connector/controller. My puppy ate my remote so I ordered a remote that came with another power supply. The remote doesn't work with the lights I have in the living room and the lights in the bedroom flash red slowly and green for about a second. I have switched out the controller from the living room that works and the lights work fine with that one so I know it's the controller part. The remote doesn't control anything I even tried changing batteries to one that I know is new. The stickers don't look the same as the remote controller that came with my day better products It looks like a knock off and it doesn't work at all.
