Fun little toy for my daughter.

This is everyone's favorite blaster

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas but it has quickly become one of my favorites! I am a fan of the design, not to mention this thing packs a serious punch and sends darts quite a distance! I haven't have any issues with jamming. This was a great deal and when they go on sale again, I might have to buy another!

The Hammershot is a single-shot, hammer-action blaster, which means you manually cock the hammer to fire each dart. It has a six-dart rotating drum, which is a nice feature for a blaster of its size. The performance is solid, with a decent range of up to 75 feet, depending on the condition of the darts and environmental factors. The firing mechanism is relatively straightforward, making it a good choice for both new and experienced Nerf players. The blaster is well-constructed, with a durable plastic build that can handle the rough and tumble of play. It feels solid in the hand, and the ergonomics are designed for comfortable use. The grip is generally comfortable, though it might be a bit small for larger hands. The rotating drum and hammer mechanism are robust, though as with any Nerf blaster, rough play might eventually cause some wear and tear. Overall, the Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster in Splatter is a visually appealing and functional blaster that offers solid performance and durability. It's a great choice for fans of the Zombie Strike series who appreciate its unique aesthetic and can handle the single-shot, manual-action gameplay.

These newer color options are nice, and for the most part, this is just like the first generation hammershots.The action is clicky but reliable, and it works great for all kinds of darts, including the older Nerf micro darts, including whistlers or sonic screamers, if you can get a hold of some.The only real negative with this version of the Hammershot is that some of the plastic internals seem slightly weaker than those in the orginal Hammershot. This shouldn't really affect normal users, but if you like modding your Nerf blasters with more beefy springs, you might want to make sure to reinforce the plastic seat for your spring, so it doesn't eat its way through the plastic.All in all, this is a nice different printed colorway of a good Nerf blaster that's popular among enthusiasts. The way you can prime it one-handed (if your hands are big enough) makes for an especially fun blaster for a kid or adult who might like to increase their firepower by holding a blaster in each hand.It's only recently there were any good manually primed pistol alternatives to the Hammershot, and even today, it's a classic with several aftermarket modding options.
