Great Music At A Bargain Price
50 tracks at £6.69 is a bargain, right? But is there enough quality material throughout this collection? The answer is a resounding yes.The first CD is Nazareth in their mid 70's heyday and contains all their biggest hits and best known songs.CD 2 covers the period from 1976-1981 and includes some minor hits and popular album tracks.CD3 takes in 1982-2014 with at least 1 track from 9 of the 11 albums released in that period. Bizarrely, the compilers have also included 2 tracks from 1974's Rampant album on this disc. Both cuts are welcome additions but seem to have been included as an afterthought.Much of this music is sadly unfamiliar to all but die hard Nazareth fans. There is so much quality and diverse material here that should be heard by a wider audience. There are plenty of hard rockers to enjoy like No Mean City, Silver Dollar Forger and Expect No Mercy. The band could also write quality ballads like Dream On, Love Leads To Madness and Where Are You Now.The band were also adept at cover versions. One of the best versions of the much loved standard Love Hurts( a smash hit in the US), Joe Tex's I Want To Do Everything For You but best of all they were one of the few artists brave enough to cover a Joni Mitchell song AND have a big hit with it. Joni must've been pleased with their version as she begun to introduce the song as a Nazareth tune for a time during her live shows. Three very different songs but all 3 covered with aplomb. One common complaint with compilations is missing tracks. For me, Beggars Day is the one outstanding omission from the set. Their cover of Woody Guthrie's Vigilante Man would've also have been a nice addition. I also love Please Don't Judas Me(later covered by Metallica) but at over 9 minutes long, it's understandable why the compilers didn't include it.All in all, this compilation shows that this band are very underrated and deserve to be up there with the best British Rock bands of all time.

ULTIMATE NAZARETH, 50 tracks on 3CDS.
A cracking collection of 50 songs on 3CDs charting the career of Scottish rock band Nazareth. The collection includes all their hits and more, great for any rock music fan who wants a taste of the band to add to their music collection.I got it to go with NAZARETH ANTHOLOGY on 3CDS, there are quite a few tracks on ULTIMATE NAZARETH that are not on ANTHOLOGY, the two sets together make a great collection of the band's material.

Who can complain at a fiver!?
Covers the spectrum of Nazareth's career. Trifold sleeve but little information on tracks, but, hey at the price who cares! Great tracks, more at playing and that gravelly voice hits the right spot. Well worth purchasing for around a fiver.

A Worthy 3 CD Best Of Album Compilation from Nazareth !!!
When I saw this 3 CD Best Of Set I knew I had to buy it. The first reason was simply the price; it was being sold for a mere 9.50 Euros. That literally means that you are paying merely 3 Euros and about 17 Cents per CD, a real bargain! Then there are the songs, and I must say that they missed almost nothing from a band that has been around now for more than half a century! Okay, I personally do miss "Please Don't Judas Me" from their fantastic "Hair of the Dog" album, but that is just 1 Song considering that these 3 CDs have a total of 50 songs on them. Overall, this 3 CD set manages to cover pretty much their entire 50 year career in [Hard] Rock music. And although I own around 10 of their albums there are still plenty of newer songs from newer albums that I don't even know. These are mostly on the 3rd CD.If you are a fan of Nazareth and wanted to have one defining Best of CD of the band then I think you simply can't go wrong with this one. Or if you just happen to like Rock music you should consider buying this one, especially at this bargain price.Overall, I am really happy with my purchase, as I now have a 3 CD album that covers the entire career of this well known Scottish Rock band, and it includes all their hits, and I am sure also a number of deep cuts, as well. This album was released in 2020, so its still pretty new.
