Great spot light at a fraction of the consumption of incandescent
I put this light in a recessed ceiling can light over the stove an what an improvement! This bulb is designed to focus the light all in one direction so none is wasted inside the fixture or on the ceiling. I find myself no longer needing to turn on the range light to see what I'm cooking. This bulb is extremely bright!The surround of the bulb is all metal which is great for heat dispersement. This also makes the bulb a bit large. This will only fit in the big can lights. The benefit of a large area to disperse heat is a longer lasting bulb. I wouldn't be surprised to still have this bulb in place five years from now. In comparison the bulbs with little or no heat sink (picked up at Home Depot) have already begun to fail and aren't nearly as bright as this bulb.This is a great find and I'll likely buy more. I received this light bulb at a significant discount for testing and review. I would have still been pleased with this bulb had I paid full price. I highly recommend this to anyone with recessed or large track lighting
