- MADE IN USA from AMERICAN MADE MATERIALS. Jeep Motor Mounts, Stock Height (Pair) The Brown Dog has experienced a couple busted stock motor mounts himself, on his own Jeep Wrangler. This is why we engineered these replacement motor mounts for extreme strength. You'll find these mounts a serious upgrade from most other mounts, too.
- High Performance Design. We use U.S. made steel other American made materials, and feature double-weld joints to provide the most strength possible. And, just to make sure, we periodically pull a set of mounts off the shelf and put them through our 20-Ton Press Test to check for failures.
- Featuring Ultra-Flex Rubber Bushings. These Brown Dog motor mounts feature our proprietary Ultra-Flex Rubber bushings designed to dampen drive-train vibration. If this is your daily driver, you may find these bushings well worth the extra money. Should you ever need to replace the bushings, we'll have them. Prefer Classic Polyurethane bushings? Mounts bolt directly to the frame-side pylons, in the same bolt holes as the stock mounts. Bolts to pylons should be tightened like most others on your Jeep frame. Nice and tight. Carefully inspect engine brackets for any excess wear, especially cracks. Also carefully inspect your engine block for sheared bolts and/or broken thread bosses. If engine brackets need replaced or engine block is questionable or you have stroked your engine, please consider upgrading to our SU2883-1 Super Kit which includes our 1" MML and Super Engine Brackets (utilizing more engine block bolts than the original brackets) for 4.0L. Tighten through-bolts (bolt that goes through bracket arms and motor mount) exactly according to installation directions. Overtightening these bolts will result in excessive vibration transfer. If installation instructions are followed, there is not a need to remove the alternator nor air conditioner compressor. Designed for use with either Brown Dog or Jeep engine brackets for Wrangler 4.0L originally installed on Jeep TJ & LJ.
