Piranha FX Laser Package

I love this tool and the included software. When I start on a project, I can forget what day it is.Next Wave has a great product, but the documentation side of the house needs to be drastically improved.For an expensive machine, I was a little taken aback with the included documentation (an eight page copy poorly stapled). I just purchased a fifty dollar 'push stick' for my table saw - it came with a twenty page four color manual and a DVD.

One you get use to the software this is one bad arse machine!!!! Awesome for beginners and small projects get the lazer to while you at it!!

I believe this little machine is all it says it is.I only wish I would have bought the XL for more work room.

I bought this package to play around with after I retired. This is a decent machine for a hobbyist. My rating is an average of the carving part of the machine (4) and the laser part of the machine (2). I was't familiar with cnc processes so there was a learning curve. It comes with third party software from Vectric that runs the carving applications. There are many good Vectric tutorials online and soon I was making finished projects. The software that runs the laser though is Next Wave Automation's and is full of bugs. Good luck trying to create images similar to those pictured. If the laser controlling software would of been useable I would of given this package at least 4 stars.
