CAP Barbell Exercise Machine Attachment | Multiple Options

I have a home gym (Golds Gym XRS50) that came with some various attachments but I was in need of a tricep rope in order to perform certain exercises. After some research (comparing prices, quality, reviews, etc) I decided on the CAP Barbell Deluxe Tricep Rope which I found here on Amazon.PROSPRICE - The cost of this tricep rope was not bad at all and, overall, it is worth every penny and then some.QUALITY - The quality of the tricep rope is excellent. The material is solid and the entire product feels extremely sturdy when in use. I have used this tricep rope for quite a while now and I have noticed absolutely no wear and tear what-so-ever. It is still like brand new.APPEARANCE - The black color is nice (not too dark, not too light) and, although the picture in the ad makes it appear shiny, the tricep rope has more of a mat finish.SIZE - The tricep rope is not too big nor is it too small to perform any of multiple exercises (Tricep Pulldowns, Overhead Extensions, Behind-the-Neck Seated Ab Crunches, etc). I have a large neck (19") and the rope fits comfortable around my neck when performing Seated Ab Crunches.CONSKNOBS - The two knobs at the end of the rope are constructed very well and feel extremely durable. However, the flat "top" of the knob can rub on your hands a bit during periods of extended use. It digs into the meat of your hand a little bit if you are using a heavy amount of weight to perform your exercise. It isn't painful in any way, shape or form, but it is a tad uncomfortable at times.OVERALLThis is a great product. It is extremely well-built and reliable. I would recommend this to anyone.

It's been a few months since I've purchased this and so far it's not falling apart like the rest of my life...jk. I feel inclined to talk about this because I've been failry annoyed that the equipment at most gyms I've gone to are either damaged and hardly useful or completely missing and therefore can't get a workout in.The quality is definitely there on this triceps rope. I'm not lifting all the weights at the cable machine but so far it's held up to the weight that I've been doing (140 lbs for about 12 reps and 4 sets) about twice a week. There hasn't been any signs of wearing or even use for that matter, I'm impressed. Can't say the same for the ones they have at my gym it looks like hulk came and squeezed the life out of them, that's if I'm lucky and I can find them.Anyway, so far quality is great, I been using it for a few months now. The ends on the rope are plastic but so far they haven't broke or the threading on the rope hasn't came apart or ripped, the piece that connects to the cable is definitely metal and hasn't broke on me and it hasn't felt like it would either. Definitely recommend for the avid gym goer. So far at the weight I been doing it's held up pretty darn good.Update:It’s been about a year and I’ve added all the weight of the machine at this point. Mostly to test out the ropes endurance. I did 12 reps, 4 sets. I’m still pretty impressed. It didn’t come apart and it still looks like I just bought it. (Added picture)As I was writing this update review, I noticed that someone else wrote about how theirs came apart. I never hold on to the ends of the rope as they’re meant to be hand stoppers so your hands don’t slip off but good to know. I won’t hold it from the ends. But, it’s lasted me this long and endured a lot of weight. Use it likes it’s meant to be used and you should be ok.I do want to add that if you want to hold it from the ends, if that’s what you’re used to, get a longer rope or maybe one with knots for ends instead of these so that they don’t come apart and you don’t get injured but overall I’m pretty satisfied, I got my money’s worth for sure.

Works great for when your gym doesn't provide them. I've been having mine for a year and it's still in good condition.

Good handle, seems to be made extremely well, the handle part spins great as well and the knurling grip in the middle of your palm is superb plus for the price that I got it at it's well worth the money but I do have 1 complaint and that is at the end of your movement because this handle is wider than it is tall the back of the handle that connects with your cable will hit you right on the top of your wrist in comparison to the more square single handles like these I believe where the back of those handles will hit you slightly higher up your arm instead because this handle is more rectangular so I think the more square ones wouldn't hit you right in the back of the wrist so much so that's my only complaint about this single D handle but besides that this handle is well worth the low price for sure but just remember that it's wider than it is tall and the back of it can hit you on the top of your wrist at the end of your movements which could cause you pain after a while or potential injury if you're not careful but if you use gloves or wrist wraps that would probably eliminate this problem because then it most likely wouldn't cause you any pain really then because then you would be protecting your wrists better but I'm not removing any stars for that due to its extremely affordable cost.

This has been a good accessory for cable machine. It is a good length and does the job.

The bar is solid and feels like it could hold as much weight as you ask it too. The bar is very clean and polished so I don’t have to worry about getting rust or anything on my hands or clothing when I use it. It is 24” long from the center of one handle to the center of the other. The grip checkering might be a bit aggressive for someone with soft hands who doesn’t want to wear gloves, but I like it.

Not much to say about this beyond it's exactly as described. It's a lat bar. Feels heavy/well made in your hands. The knurling is flawless. Looks sleek with the black finish and I'm outfitting my home gym with mostly black attachments for that reason. The gym is set up in our airbnb so looks in this case do matter.I'm 6'2" and it fits my body perfectly so perhaps for smaller people it could be large? But kind of doubt it. It's the same size as every lat bar I've seen in the gyms and I suspect if you are so small it won't work for you you're specifically shopping for that purpose and know this already. Awesome value for the price.
