Elite Velours a great replacement for DT990 Pro 250ohm
The stock pads for my DT990 Pro 250ohm were worn, flattened, and uncomfortable. They needed to be replaced. After reading reviews, I initially bought the Elite Hybrids as a replacement. Those were very disappointing -- they changed the sound significantly, and not in a good way. The hybrids closed off the soundstage, making it feel like a semi-open or even closed-backed headphone. The low frequencies were extremely amplified, making the overall sound feel muddied with a distinct loss in clarity. I may try the hybrids on my DT770s, instead. I now have the Elite Velours, which I am much happier with. The velours do not significantly change the stock sound of the DT990s. All of the clarity and openness continues to be present, with the sound feeling warmer (the stock sound felt a bit more sterile, by comparison). The pads, themselves, are thick and very comfortable. There is a lot more space between the pads and the drivers than the stock pads, and they feel very well cushioned. I definitely recommend the Elite Velours as replacement pads for the DT990 Pros; they are a step up in quality without sacrificing all that is good about the stock sound.

Improvement in sound after getting used to them
I much prefer the sound of my DT 990 Pro's after installing these. Much more comfortable than the stock pads and deeper, so your ears won't touch the inner foam. Even though the graph showed minimal difference in the sound, these added a bit of bass and more importantly reduced the harsh high treble tones these headphones can have. They do sound a tiny bit less open, though. Not by much but it's noticeable. I would definitely buy these for every pair of headphones going forward.

DT1990 basically require these for hi-fi music
They're recommended and they're good! Comfy, listen to metal mostly. Neither Amirons or 1990s are perfect for music, but they're sturdy and good enough in most cases. Quality is more down to the mix usually. I don't EQ because I don't use USB. I use SPDIF from an Echo Link. Good with Valhalla which is lush. Lyr3 can tend to be brighter, more temperamental with tube choice, but it's been Valhalla/Modius for a while. The velours distance your ears and make the sibilance OK, but solid state probably won't work with these phones or a lot of others since the sound is harder. Then again an Asgard 3 is so warm it outmushes tube amps. Don't think I've tried them together though. DT+some kind of tube+these pads will be a pretty good experience. Just goes very well with metal, I leave Amirons for most other stuff. Oh and hardcore, punk etc. Anything EDGY gets my 1990s.

great replacement for stock earpads
They're fluffy and black. I most wanted this set since they have the mesh in the center, where mine had ripped. They do stand a bit taller than the stock pads. Installation was pretty easy as long as I found a youtube video for it. No difference in sound quality that I could tell but I'm not too picky either. Way more comfortable than the old ones though. You get what you pay for and these are not cheap. Would buy again! Dekoni Audio Elite Velour for DT 770 pro 80ohms.

Elite Velour and Choice Suede reviews for Beyerdynamic 1990 v1
Elite Velour: Doesn't sound the same as the original beyerdynamics 1990 v pads, plus the rubber that is meant to keep them in place is hard to insert because its too long and flimsy took half an hour to put both in and the pad itself is bent out of shape. Choice Suede: Way better than the Elite Velour in my opinion, using them on my beyerdynamic 1990 v1 I notice less background noise and more bass. However just like the Elite Velour they were difficult to put on because the material used for the inserts are flimsy and longer than the stock pads for the 1990 and they kind of bulge out on the sides once fully put on. But overall I like these more than the Elite Velour would recommend if you like bass a lot.

More comfortable and much easier to change than stock Beyerdynamic pads
These are much thicker and rebound better than my last set of stock Beyerdynamic pads for my dt990s. Soundstage and profile very similar to new stock pads. The vinyl rim of these is much easier to stretch to fit around the earcup when installing these pads than stock Beyerdynamic pads. While breaking them in, they appear to dissipate heat a little bit better as they haven't yet left my ears feeling hot after extended listening or gaming sessions. I only wish they made these in a grey color, as the color contrast is one thing I liked about the stock pads.

Uncomfortable & Terribly Bass Heavy
If heard people rave about the comfort of the Dekoni Elite Velour ear pads as a replacement for the stock ear pads on my Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones, which are also velour (EDT 990 V). The Dekoni's use a thicker memory foam and are supposed to ease the pressure of wearing glasses with these headphones. The do not. Maybe there is a break-in period, but these immediately gave me a headache. For reference, I can wear the stock ear pads for a couple of hours before I start feeling pressure on my glasses, the Dekoni's took all of 5 minutes. I would consider wearing these for a while to see if the memory foam starts to break in were my glasses temples touch them, but I couldn't get over the biggest issue, the sound! The sound is overwhelmingly bass-heavy. Music and spoken word, just sound off, and terrible. For me, my left earphone sounded slightly lower too, which remedied when I put the stock ear pads back on. The Dekoni's also came with built-in foam that would cover the driver, but the DT 990 Pro's already have built in foam, so I'm guessing the double amount of foam is messing with the sound. I wouldn't recommend these. Yes, Dekoni has frequency ranges for all their ear pads, but I'm not going to bother trying out more.

Replaced stock on Amiron Home
While not as soft as the stock Alacantara, these pads (Elite Velour)are much thicker giving better comfort and a better seal resulting in better low end response. I had tried the Choice suede before these and while they are by far the most comfortable they kind of turn the Amirons into bass cannons. I will be keeping both and switch them for the music that best fits, though I believe it will be the Elite Velour.

What a change these pads make! I can listen to my DT1990s for longer periods of time. For the first time since I got them, the 1990s can do more than just pick out faults in mixes. Even more bass and just the right amount of treble while taming the Beyer peaks that used to wear out my ears. DT 1990s are finally brought to life in the most pleasing way and ready to act as daily drivers. My five-star daily driver setup: Beyerdynamic DT 1990 (Generation 1, 250 ohm) powered by Chord Mojo 2. And these pads look better than the stock ones.

Klare Kaufempfehlung, keine Frage.

Very comfortable and great sound on DT 1990 Pro when you look for oratory1990 equalizer profile made for Dekoni Audio Elite Velours and DT1990. I recommend to pry out the piece that holds earpad. It is much more easier to install earpads and put them back. It comes off and goes back easily. See my example image.

Sehr gute Ohrpolster. Verarbeitung und Tragekomfort ist top. Benutzte sie auf meinen DT 1990. Auch klanglich eine Angenehme Verbesserung.
