So far I tried it with 4 devices. 2 of them worked perfected. One is my windows 10 desktop, I used it to communicate with my coworkers for daily meetings, the first time I plugged in it didn't recognize the camera but I simply unplug and plug again and it then worked, no compatibility issue found. The second device I used was my laptop, the reason I didn't want to use the built in camera was due to the resolution. This web camera has a higher resolution and occasionally I do need to work with my laptop too and I was surprised that my laptop allows me to select which camera to use (the built-in one or the external plug-in one). The 3rd was the tablet, the tablet had a built-in camera but it stopped working for some reason, couldn't bring it back. By plugging in this USB webcam, it worked fine for the online course software, so far no complaints. The 4th device was an old Macintosh (12 years old), my only Mac that I have(I don't really need to use the Mac since it is so old, just want to test it). I admit it is old but not sure is why this would not work. Every time I try to launch a software (such as skype) it would always use the built-in camera instead. So far I haven't figured out how this webcam could work with apple devices. But looks like every single Apple device has a built-in cam so hopefully a Mac user won't be needing this plug-in type of cams.

I liked how easy it was to plug and play. I move my screen around from room to room—camera is easy to put back in place and reposition.

This camera has a great value for what it does. Keep in mind, I purchased it for $15 with Amazon Prime.It has 1080P as advertised, which isn't the highest quality anymore like it used to be, but still more than respectable quality visually for Zoom. Meets, Skype etc. No extra necessary.Has an odd shape, but does make it a bit easier to fix the camera physically once it is latched properly in place. Decent range of motion for the swivel, and holds itself in the place you set it very well.Has an odd clip that looks like it would work best with laptops. Can be adjusted and work with other things as well (mine is on a mini bar speaker, but could use on a monitor, or even flat on a table and adjusted for angle. Does indeed have a tripod thread underneath for those of you who have one already.Note that the clip-mount cannot be removed, it is a part of the camera.Comes with a physical lens cover that sticky-backs onto the face of the camera and allows you to close as to physically block the camera lense. (I use this when camera is not in use).My only real complaint is the microphone sound quality is subpar.Part of that has to do with the fact sometimes the best camera placement is just not the best microphone placement. It is also just a very basic microphone, would not rely entirely on this built in mic unless using where a stand-alone microphone would be inconvenient (so last resort really).Overall, for the price, solid product. There are more expensive ones that probably can't even do the basics as well as this one does.

poor digital quality, limited features, & functions

As we are in need of constant video conferencing due to the covid virus, I figured I might as well upgrade my webcam. I'm so excited with this new one. My old one was only 720p which was reasonably good, but with this new 1080p web camera is so much better. Our daily online meetings were so vivid and we didn't feel too much of a barrier when comparing to meetings in person (if your internet speed is fine). A very good choice for working from home and I use it almost everyday.

The video worked alright- not the best quality, but it was a video of me. The issue here was that I couldn't get the mic to work, no matter what I did. I also wrote to the support crew (there's a note in the box to write to them) to ask what else might be wrong. They suggested unplugging it and plugging it back in again (which I'd already done, so, thanks?). They apologized but had nothing to offer beyond that. A sorry product indeed!

Nice camera work great for the zoom stuff and didn't cost an arm and a leg...
