If you like thin sliced deli meat, this is the one! 4 years and still working great!
Bought this a while back and this slicer is still slicing ham, beef roast, turkey, and chicken just like the deli's. Easy to use and cleanup.

Good quality for the price
I bought this to cut three things, mainly. Here they are and how it does:- Bread: I needed to make nice thin slices of soft bread-machine bread. This makes nice thin slices with the serrated blade. It's worth the money just for this. Consistent thin slices of bread.- Red onion: I like thinly sliced red onion on my sandwiches, made with consistently thin slices of bread. The serrated blade does great with this. I can virtually shave off onion, or get full yet thin slices.- Cheese: We often need sliced mozzarella. So we threw a chunk of low-moisture fresh mozz at it and the smooth blade. The blade left a gray residue on the first few slices, so I needed to have washed it better. And as I came to the end of a slice, the motor would labor a little due to the drag of the chunk against the center of the blade. Still, it sliced up the whole chunk no problem, into nice even slices. A harder cheese would likely not drag as much. A softer cheese simply isn't something to use in a deli slicer. So this is basically a worst-case scenario for it, and it passed just fine. So, no real complaints. The blade turns more slowly then I expected, but it sure does the job. It's as easy to clean as such a machine can be. There aren't any hidden areas to trap food. The suction cup feet aren't as solid as I would like. They don't disconnect from the counter, but the unit can slide around if you push it too hard. But you sorta have to be trying to make it move. Bigger feet might have been better.I can't speak to the longevity it will show as I haven't had this long, but it feels solidly built.Overall, I'm delighted with this.

Good for home use.
I looked at and read reviews for dozens of this type of slicer prior to purchasing this one. I chose this one because of reviews and the apparent strength/ sturdy construction. It is important to keep in mind that this is not meant to be used in a business such as restaurants or a deli etc. It is definitely designed for home use. Overall this slicer preforms well despite some obvious design flaws.I have tested the slicer with summer sausage, deli meats and various types of cheese. I found that the biggest annoyance is the space between the feed table and the back of the machine. This excessive gap (about 3/8”) makes it impossible to slice all of the food being sliced, leaving you with an oddly cut or too thick of a slice at the end.The next flaw is the food pusher itself. The handle, so to speak, that’s used to push the food towards the back while slicing is plastic and too flexible. It does not hold well on the far end towards the blade. This would work much better if the handle on the pusher was more centered to give more even distribution of the pressure applied to the food being sliced, or perhaps if it were made out of metal like most of the machine.I found the blade to be very sharp as it should be and no damage or issues with the teeth. Unfortunately, there is another design flaw here. The blade is very slightly warped which if much worse, would not allow for even slicing.Next is the suction cups that hold it down for safe slicing. These suction cups are very strong, maybe too strong. The unit will not move when properly set to a smooth countertop or surface. In my case, while trying to move the slicer after the third use, one of the suction cops held so tight that the mounting screw pulled through it. I had to remove the screw and remount the suction cup. This will likely be an ongoing issue and may be corrected with a better mounting option by the manufacturer.Cleaning is quick and easy as it does break down nicely. The table, pusher, and blade are easily removed giving full access to clean the machine itself and the parts can be cleaned easier as well. I personally prefer hand washing parts so I did not check to see if the parts are dishwasher safe. Refer to the manual on that.Again, Overall it is a good product so far and I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

Works just fine for the price.
This did the job for the price. The whole unit was not over heavy, so I was able to store in the basement and bring it up when needed. I bought a really good one before, but it was to heavy to carry around. For my use I did not need a high end one.

Not as durable as I had hoped
I wasn't expecting restaurant /deli quality and I knew it would not be good for meat that is bigger than 6 inch diameter (so no good for bacon and corned beef unless you cut in half first but this unit is very flimzy). On the plus side it arrive well packed, clean and changing blade is easy desipte poor instructions on how to do this. It is sloooow going to cut fridge temp roast beast (all I have tried so far with about 3 mm thickness but the slices are clean and don't seem to tear ). The food pusher is pretty much pointless though as it is so flexible and flimsy it basically doesn't hold the roast in place and I ended up using my hand to hold the roast. This is not clearly not recommended in the extensive list of warnings but I had no option. Given the blade is slow and bogs down if you try to go too quickly it is slow and will take a lot of time to get through the roast. So reading the instructions again there is a Note saying don't use for more than 5 min before turning off to cool for 15 min or damage to motor may result. So this lack of durability makes it even slower bc you have to take 15 min breaks. If this is your only option or maybe you want to use for soft vegetables Then it might work for you. I can't see myself using it though for that as cleanup will take longer than using a regular old knife. Anyway if you choose to buy, good luck!Customer service was very responsive and helpful in answering questions and assisting with the refund. Aditeed to add a star for exceptional customer service.
