Full Metal Panic! - The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

I’ve avoided Full Metal Panic for a while because I just didn’t have an interest in mecha. But I kept looking at it over and over considering it and finally decided to give it a try. I’m pretty glad I did because I really like it. From a mecha stand point I actually was pretty impressed too and will likely look into more mecha to try now. I really liked the serious parts and the military aspect, but the comedy was pretty good as well. Even though I don’t like a lot of comedy they did pretty well keeping the serious situations serious and letting the comedy be in the in between light moments. The only thing I didn’t really like was the lambda drive thing that was kinda ridiculous to me and made it too sci fi. But the animation is beautiful and the story is pretty good. I love Kaname, she is one of my favorite female characters. All the characters are really good.

Good anime with a decent plot I would buy from the seller again.

Be sure to watch the Full Metal Panic?: Fumoffu series after this. :-)This set has both blu-ray and DVD discs. The blu-ray discs have the cartoons in 1080p format, but the cartoon was originally in 4:3 so it centers the video with black bars on the right and left sides of the frame. I ended up using Handbrake software to convert and save them to my computer in mp4 format. This crops the video and removes the bars.

My all-time favorite anime series ever I love it I never get tired of watching it. So i decided to get the collection set on blu ray. Only thing is the cover came a little bent from the back part on the top of the blu ray case besides that everything else looks perfect.

Like the title says, for whatever reason the spine art, although aesthetically the same design as the rest of the classics releases (as in a solid color rectangle with a graphic imbedded), but for whatever reason the spine art on this one is upscaled such that it doesn't line up with any of the other classics' spine art and ultimately looks super awkward. It's ridiculous honestly, they've kept the dimensions of the spine art completely consistent otherwise with all these classics releases, why the heck is this one different??? I'm not here to review the series (there are plenty of dedicated websites to reviewing TV/Movies/Anime and Amazon isn't one of them), since in this day and age people don't blindly buy physical releases anymore... as far as I'm concerned it's a collectors item meant to satisfy our little monkey brains and bring us joy due to a sense of ownership over something that we identified with. If you are buying this to in order to watch it for the first time... don't be stupid, stream it online and make sure you like it first.

The artwork is amazing the show is full of action and laughs some well know voice actors are in the show most prominently the person who voices Edward Eric in FMA a good first anime to pick up if your just getting into anime
