This K03 Turbocharger is a direct replacement for the original turbo found on the 1996-2004 Audi A4 and 1998-2005 Volkswagen Passat 1.8T engines. This turbocharger is not meant as an upgrade for the factory unit. It is offered as a solution for a turbocharger that is beyond repair and needs replacement at an affordable price. The K03 turbocharger is designed to be used on engines displacing 1.3L-2.0L and is typically good for around 250HP. Recommended boost pressures are 7psi(.5 Bar) to 21psi(1.5 Bar) and boost pressures should not exceed 30psi(2 Bar). Exceeding 21psi(1.5 Bar) of boost pressure can significantly reduce a turbochargers lifespan.
