Better Than Expected !! A+++++
These boots are much better than expected!! Perfect fit and lightening fast delivery too. I was a little worried by what I saw in pictures regarding the thickness of the boots soles. It is fairly thin. To my surprise and delight the soles are made of hard rubber like an engineer boot sole is. They should wear like iron. The overall quality is superb. I have not one thing I would like to see different or improved. Tour Master knocked this one out of the ball park. There is ample room in the top of the boots to tuck in my pant legs, or I can slide the pants over the shafts with no issues. These look pretty sweet. I will be buying more of these down the road, and I would certainly refer anyone to buy these...Now that I have worn these boots for a few days while riding and wearing them all day traveling to, wearing at, and back home from work, these boots have began to break in nicely. They are becoming more flexible and much easier to walk in. Although the inside bottoms offer some cushioning that is adequate, it would be a nice upgrade to slide in some jell liners.I have worn other cowboy type boots to ride in and have always ended up with an uncomfortable ride and very sore legs. The foot peg to shifter relationships are not as good as they need to be with the taller heal height. With the shorter heal, these Tour Master boots can have the heal easily slide slightly up onto the foot pegs if needed without even knowing you are doing this. It helps me a lot shifting my Harley Dyna Glide. It is starting to get fairly hot out here now that summer is getting going. The boots do ride cooler than non vented boots. I believe they will also work just fine in the winter months with one pair of crew socks on. My only regret is that I should have ordered them in wide size so that I could have the option to wear two pairs of sox if need be. I really love these boots and have become a big fan of Tour Master products.

"Wide" is not really that wide.
I ordered these because they are offered in wide sizes and I wear a 14 4E. They seem to be well made for the price. I'm not sure how narrow a standard size in this boot is, but their "Wide" is closer to a D or medium width. I ended up ordering up two pairs of the same size boot 14W (49 Euro) and found big differences in width and length between them. With the first was pair there were obvious differences between the right and left boot. The left boot was very narrow and long (1/4" longer than the right), and the right boot was slightly wider but still definitely very narrow. I measured the width of each boot and found 2mm difference between right and left. I boxed them back up for return and ordered another pair for comparison. The second pair were shorter and wider, and looked more proportionally balanced. The left boot fit fairly well and felt like it might be comfortable after some wear in. The right boot measured slightly narrower and was less comfortable and pinched my small toe. I haven't decided if I am going to keep the second pair yet, still walking around the house to see if they stretch out some. Still if you are expecting boot that fits a wide foot ( EE or 4E) these are probably not going to be boots that you will be comfortable walking very far in. Update: They really didn't stretch out much but I decided to keep them because I needed them. I discovered by trying on some boots at a local store that if you have a wide foot AlpineStars makes boots for the US market. If you have a large sized wide foot spend another $100 and shop for boots from AlpineStars. They are true to size and run wider than most other motorcycle boots.

Best boot under $400 for regular motorcycle riding
The only boots I have found with these features:Wide sizes. No idea why this is so darn rare with the number of people I hear complaining about it.Lower height, so perfect for daily riding and touring.Extra comfortable--I wear these to teach Motorcycle Safety and walk all day in a parking lot managing the students. This boot is as comfortable as a good hiking boot since you can get the width you need! Even better on the tours, since they are comfortable all day on the pegs.Value priced--these are priced just over a pair of running shoes. For that price, you get all the benefits listed above + a relatively light boot.In exchange, the life of the sole and upper is shorter than the typical $400 heavy touring or offroad boot.I was so tired of buying a boot an extra full size larger in order to get the width I needed. When doing that, the foot feel on the controls is lost. These fit so well that your feet feel like your feet! Your toe control is where you expect it. I think this adds safety to the other features.The only dislikes that have cropped up over the 6 pairs I have had (still using 3 in rotation): The velcro closure over the zipper is on the inside, which means you have to be careful with it so you don't catch the closure flap on the footpeg / shifter / brake pedal; the heel is "hollow" so it will be the first section to go. Basically I have punctured it with the tang on the sidestand from several of our range bikes when the sole gets hot and soft. The boot is still useable, but it doesn't feel super quality; and last, the boot is not made for long standing on the footpegs type of riding. Compared to offroad boots these are much more soft and pliable--therefore, comfortable but maybe not as safe and protective as a full on heavy boot.

Boots completely fell apart on 1st long trip from Denver to San Francisco.
The stitching that held the plastic and rubber reinforcements came apart. The outside edge that meets the toes had a poor design and also came apart over a 1,000 mile ride over 3 days. I walked in them (pretty comfortable) during that time- which resulted in the hard plastic sole and wear parts separated even more. They were unusable after under 2 days of hard use and riding as a cack developed along the flex line of my toes- making my socks my protection. Their customer service offered to replace but I couldn't see the reason as the new pair wouldn't last any longer. I bought a pair of Korean made StyleMartins and they've been bulletproof for 4 years and at least 40,000 miles and dozens and dozens of miles walked.
