Worked well on SilNylon tent
I used this to reseal the seams on an older Tarptent Rainbow tent - Note I am referring to the silicone coated nylon model of the tent. This is a great tent that I have used on both the Appalachian trail and the Pacific Crest Trail. I diluted the silicone sealant to a 50/50 mix with mineral spirits before applying it with a foam brush. It applied smoothly and evenly along the seams. There are YouTube videos that will demonstrate how to mix and apply this type sealant. This tube provided more than enough sealant to reseal my tent. I am very happy with the results.

It works
My girlfriend has a big canopy tent that's probably 20 years old that gets used for a week every year that started to leak in several places and I got her this stuff to try and salvage the canopy fabric. She resealed the stitching both sides of every seam and it absolutely worked. We got some heavy rain that week and it didn't leak a drop anywhere.I think she used 3 tubes on a 20 by 10 foot canopy top. Stuff really works, saved a $300 heavy duty canopy.

Turned a badly leaking tent into a dry tent
I used this to make repairs to an older, badly leaking, tent: a Nemo Losi 3P, about 8yrs old, I think. The interior seam taping had completely failed, it was peeling off along every seam of the rain fly. When the tent was sprayed with a garden hose, it was leaking badly along the full length of every seam - it seemed like it was raining inside.I set up the tent in a covered area and used a small brush to "paint" the Seam Grip on the exterior of all of the rain fly seams. This took a long time. I was as careful as I could be, but it still doesn't look quite "factory" or exactly professional looking. But what matters most, the tent no longer leaks! This was a fairly expensive tent when new, and it would have been a shame to discard it - but it lives again - thanks to a couple dollars and a little effort. The cost of the Seam Grip was money well spent. There were also some velcro straps which attach the rain fly to the tent poles. The velcro was originally glued to the inside of the rainly but the glue had deteriorated and the straps detached. I attemped to use Seam Grip to re-attach the straps but it just didn't hold. So from my perspective, the Seam Grip did a much better job waterproofing than it did "gripping". It might be best to have these straps attached for high wind conditions, but for most other situations they don't seem critical.

Cut with mineral spirits
I have yet to use my tent in wet weather but the seam sealing went fairly well. I followed advice online and cut it with a 2:1 ratio of sealant to mineral spirits. Otherwise you will have a difficult time efficiently applying a very thick, viscous fluid to your tent. Next time I might even go with a 50:50 ratio of sealant to mineral spirits as it still seemed a bit sticky and hard to apply neatly. Took about two days to fully cure out. Adheres well to a Silnylon tent.

Works the first time and no leaks
Living in the PNW a water tight easy up or tent is essential and ours leaked at all the seams until I applied Seam Grip. Application was easy just tedious for a 10’ x 20’. Tested during a heavy rain and it held, no leaks. Used 1.5 tubes. It is clear in color and only noticeable if you know where to look and look closely. Strongly recommend.

Buy this stuff
As a sailor this must be in the gear bag. I mostly use it to patch the dingy but have also used it to patch fenders on a 120 foot 99 ton tall ship when brand new fenders were exploding left and right due to dock pressure the patches always held and fenders would pop in new places! As my mentor said when I proposed using the glue he said “well that would be SOME glue”.

It works!
I used this to seal the seams on a new tent that didn’t come seam sealed. It took about an hour to apply and I left the tent up overnight to dry/cure. I had a couple nights of heavy rains and winds with thunderstorms and stayed dry and cozy all night. I had a little squeeze bottle for crafts that I found easier to apply the seam sealer (and neater!) instead of straight from the tube. I plan to seal our other tents now!

Application is fine using brush and patience.
Nice and with brush, yet both styles are to expensive, period!

Doesn't bind to silicone, works great for everything else
This proved useless for fixing cuts in silicone. It does not bind with the silicone, and so didn't serve the purpose I got it for, fixing a leak in a water bladder. However, it's useful for everything else. I've used it to apply a protective coating around a screw under my table that was brushing against my leg, and to add drops to a bag's shoulder handle, making the handle grippier on my shoulder.

Works Great
Sealed my Lanshan II Pro tent with this; it came out looking clean and adhered to the seam nicely. I see some other reviewers have had trouble getting a clean looking bead, so some suggestions:-Use 2 rags (1 wet, 1 dry), and when cleaning up any sealer that got smeared around the seams, use the wet rag first to loosen it and then the dry to remove it completely-Make sure you have a good taut pitch before applying if you're sealing a trekking pole tent-Use a curved-tip syringe (sometimes sold as "dental irrigation syringes" or "hobby syringes"), and find the right pressure/angle to get a consistent, straight bead-Go slow and wipe off excess sealer frequently-Watch some youtube videos before getting into it (Justin Whiting has one called "how to seam seal a tent with a syringe")This product works. It is meant to form a permanent waterproof bond on silnylon surfaces. Be aware of this and make a plan to deal with unwanted smears before diving in headfirst.
