It actually has on-board memory! (unlike Logitech, ROCCAT's and other brands newer mice!. )
As the title says, this cheap mouse ACTUALLY HAS ON-BOARD MEMORY (only 1 profile at a time though) which can store the simplest sequence macros and would let you have for ex. a double or triple click stored ON-BOARD! (that means that you can program your mouse on your PC and then take it to ANOTHER PC or even a CONSOLE and have your macros still ON THE MOUSE ITSELF!!!)You can store a number of profiles in the PC application (probably an unlimited number as I have not tested that.. couldn't care much for more than around 3 ~ 5 profiles myself.. ) BUT.. the limitation is that you can only have 1 of them applied to the mouse on it's internal PHISICAL, ON-BOARD MEMORY.Another limitation would be that you can NOT re assign the side scroll wheel, which will always be set as: "Multimedia - Volume Control" (which is not the worst thing ever, but for the price, I can look the other way for once and not feel the buyer's remorse)Another pro though, and it's a side effect of this being intended as a "gaming mouse" is that there is a function named "Fire Key" which lets you easily assign a number of Click Presses either of the 5 main mouse buttons (Left/Right/Middle/Back/Forward) by simply entering a time to keep the key pressed/released and a number of iterations of the key-press - Very easy to make a 2x or a 3x Click Key assignment.DPI steps can be set in increments of 100 and the range is 200 DPI to 12400 DPI and there are 6 configurable available DPI steps that can also be enabled/disabled by the user (in case you only need 1 or 3 DPI steps in you DPI cycle)The side thumb & finger rests are magnetic and very useful and easy to use, so cheers to that Pictek! (also they are covering 2 of the case screws, that making disassembly of this mouse 2 screws easier to get to without destroying the PTFE glides - nice!)For the current price, I can only recommend to buy two of them.. (just give one to a friend or something maybe - especially one that do love games on PC, or games in general.. )
