The 130 liter Thule Chasm duffel is sturdy and BIG with multiple carry options
I bought the 130 liter Thule Chasm duffel as my main piece of luggage for a 4 week trip involving car travel, hotel stays, cruise ships, and a train. I needed clothing and some equipment for two very different climates, so I wanted a big piece of luggage that fit within airline dimensions but was sturdy and flexible and which could be put on wheels when necessary. The Thule Chasm 130L is 34" x 18" x 16.5", a total linear dimensional measurement of 68.5" which is over the airlines 62" dimensional limits if fully packed and expanded. However, if not packed to bursting, the bag's compression straps can be used to reduce the dimensions to what the airlines will accept. If airline limits aren't applicable, this bag easily can be packed in excess of both the size and 50# weight limits, yet is still manageable. The bag has multiple carry options, with optional backpack straps, a top carry handle, and grab handles on both ends. This made moving the bag around fairly easy, despite its large size. I wouldn't recommend carrying it long distances when packed full with clothing, however - it doesn't take the place of a decent backpack for hiking. Its weight when packed also makes it less than idea for long carry with the handles. I brought a collapsible two-wheeled aluminum handtruck with me that I could carry into the airline cabin after checking the bag. (Wheeled bags reduce the net luggage weight since the wheels are included in the airlines weight measurement.) I could place this duffel vertically on the handtruck and still have room for another smaller duffel to sit horizontally on top, all strapped in place to prevent shifting. The internal mesh pockets are useful for some internal organization, and the external pocket at one end provides storage for items to be accessed quickly without opening the entire bag. There isn't any internal organization for the main compartment; I use "packing cubes" (Amazon Basics ones work fine) to keep my clothing organized. Overall it is a great bag assuming you need this much storage space. It is an extremely big bag, and it holds a lot. Just the ticket if you have a lot to transport and need to keep your bag count down, but is overkill if you don't. One way to think of it is as the modern equivalent of a steamer trunk.

Solid!
Very rugged and durable exterior. Enough zip pockets on the inside and a large dump space for the remainder items. Wish there was a strap to purchase to carry it across your chest in addition to the straps.

Very good weekender duffel/carry on
I needed a bag that had no unneccesary frills but would be durable and work well for 3-5 day trips and be easy to fit into a plane's overhead compartment, this bag fit the bill. Construction is solid, but I did notice a loose thread that had to be trimmed on the bottom edge seam. The double-layer material gives it structure to stand on its own without folding in half or collapsing under the weight of whatever is packed into it. The interior is spacious enough to fit a small toiletry bag and 4-5 days worth of clothes and some additional items. The backpack straps are fantastic for using this as a carry on item. Walk to where you need to go in backpack configuration, then unbutton the duffel carry handles to transfer it on/off the plane. My only complaint is that there isn't an external pouch or zip pocket where I could put a water bottle while carrying it in backpack configuration, I had to carry mine in my hand while walking through the airport, which was a minor annoyance. Overall however, if you're looking for a carry on compliant weekender bag that won't break the bank like an Aer or Bellroy, this is it.

I don't have a number, but it's a solid bag
I don't have a number, but it's a solid bag, and big, so whatever you put in it will be the main factor.

Great for International Travel
I used this 70L bag for a 10 day trip to Asia. It was absolutely perfect. Way easier for me to get in and off trains, busses, and planes than my friends who all had hard sided luggage. The bag had plenty of space for 10 changes of clothes, fleece, rain shell, extra pair of shoes, and toiletries. I even had enough space left over to bring back chocolates for friends. The bag is built well, shoulder straps are comfortable, the material is water resistant, and seems like it will last for decades. I’d definitely buy it again.

Solid bag for travelling
If you need a duffle bag that is rugged, sturdy, waterproof and dependable - this is it. I bought this for a Cycling week long event and was able to pack week long of cycling kits, night clothes and shoes with helmet no problem. One of the days, it rained and this bag held up well and kept everything dry. It comes with a storage case. I've mostly used it as a duffle bag but it does convert to a backpack. I would definitely purchase this again if need be or if I need one of the smaller sizes. This bag will stand the test of time.

I shopped around for a very long time comparing different convertible duffle bags for an upcoming adventure in northern coastal BC and I couldn't be happier. It is just the right size at 40L to pack for 5 days and not run out of room (I am packing with compression packs for space and organization) My favorite features of this convertible duffle that others like the Patagonia Black Hole or The North Face Base Camp convertible duffles don't feature. #1: the compression straps on the outside of the bag. Not only do they help with keeping gear in its place while you carry the bag, but also helps get it snuggled into carrying on size if you haven't over packed. #2: the carry handle snaps holding them out of the way when using the bag as a backpack. This stops you from accidentally putting your arms through the carrying handles when trying to use the backpack handles and seems like a small feature but it works! #3: the way the pockets for smaller items are designed on the inside of the bag, as well as the design of the lid. This design feature allows you to unzip just the front flap to access the inside pocket without everything else in the bag being exposed Cons: #1 there's no separate place for your laptop if you plan to travel with one. #2: it doesn't come with a dedicated

旅行用に購入したリュックサックは、大容量なのに背負っても軽く感じられます。家族4人の1泊旅行に欠かせないアイテムです。

this is a huge duffel and is well made. it comes in its own bag, which in turn is well made. I think the intention is for the bag to be stored in its own bag when not in use, however I can't imagine I'd ever wanting to spend an hour trying to recompress the main bag enough to reinsert it into the carrying bag, its super tight. The shoulder straps are removable and can be stored in the end pocket.

I bought this bag a month ago and after a month of using it daily, I can safely say that this bag has been worth every dollar paid. I bought the 40L in Blue. I specifically needed a large duffel to bring a day's worth of clothes, film equipment and gym stuff around with me from the a.m to the p.m. And it's served those specific needs and exceeded them. The Chasm duffels looks and feels very well-made, you can tell the material and craftsmanship is high-quality. I was also caught in a downpour once and the insides remained bone-dry. I've been using it more as a duffel and not as a backpack though I carry the naclpack straps with me inside the bag within the very convenient packing case. If you're looking for a quality duffel hybrid backpack, this is pretty much ideal, i see myself using this bag for a long long time. The bag is very comfortable to sling over one's shoulder and walk around with wit. Cons : The lack of organisation inside may be an issue for some especially if you want to carry a water bottle with you everywhere and have it easily accessible. I get around this by using a dry bag for my water bottle but it makes it much more inconvenient to grab a drink when I'm walking around carrying the bag. But I don't see how they could have added a compartment for water and maintained its flexibility.
