Auxbeam 1156 Turn Signal Bulbs, Super Bright Amber Yellow P21W BA15S Bulbs for Turn Signal Light, 12V-3030 SMD Chipsets Bulb with Projector, Pack of 2 (May Need Resistors)

2012 VW Jetta SE 2.5I bought 2 sets of these 1156 p21w leds for my rear parking lights/ brake lights and rear blinkers. You got a set for the parking lights/brakes and another set for the rear blinkers. These will work for the rear blinkers , but unfortunately, they do not work for the parking lights/ brakes. My car was trying to draw too much power from these LEDs on my parking lights/ brakes because they require a two brightness LED, dim and bright. they also took out the entire driver side exterior lights on my car after installing and trying out , front and back. I only had lights on the passenger side , at first, I thought the bulbs went out but there’s no way they all went out at the same time and they’re all new so I put the old bulb back in for the parking/brake lights and I disconnected the battery to reset everything and everything came back on thankfully. I was looking for blown fuses and everything I was stumped. So I don’t recommend trying to install these in your brake lights/parking light. Make sure the bulb has a resistor and they can both go dim and bright. These only work for the rear parking lights and the reverse lights. I got these in Amber too for my front blinkers and they DID NOT fit either. They’re good quality though! Very bright! I’m just gonna re-order the right size, cause somebodyyyyy….. amazon. Told me they were the right size and they fit. If Amazon says it fits your vehicle double check!. Check your old bulb and check the size before you purchase! If the bulb size isn’t on the bulb it should be on the back of the housing somewhere. These work for rear blinkers too.

Nice and bright

These bulbs are super bright. Easily noticed on my classic mustang.

The contact terminals were a little too flat. I had to open the bulb socket on the car and pry up the terminals so that they would reach each other. After that, the lights seem to be working well. They shine through my tailight black blackout panel very well. The picture shows what they look like with just the headlights on. They get even brighter when braking. Give them a try!

These bulbs where great at first even though they are not error free can us bulbs like they state. Sitting at 8 months and they are already malfunctioning.

Installed in my 2003 Sprinter van for reverse lights & 1 of my tow trucks for reverse lights, easy install just like any other 1156 bulb, great light output, significant upgrade over standard bulbs plus I don't have to worry about them burning out, great price less than 1/2 what the local parts stores want. Another plus is they have a lense to focus the light output in a horizontal installation for the van, tow truck has a vertical installation but the light output is dazzling. I will be back for more.

Really bright and good brightness, easy to install

I am giving these three stars, because I have bought other Auxbeam products that I have been pleased with. However, I don’t feel that these last nearly as long as they should. I tend to drive with my lights on all the time. If you do the math, figuring eight hours a day on average, if these are supposed to run for 10,000 hours, that comes out to 1250 days on average. That’s nearly 3 1/2 years. I can honestly say I have never gotten that long out of these bulbs. However, since I do have Auxbeam headlights, that to date have been great and have been using for at least two years, and I also have a pair of auxiliary off-road lights that I am so far happy with, I will continue to use Auxbeam products.
