Despite some other poor reviews my one works very well. It was bought for transferring chart latitudes and longitudes for the Yachtmaster theory course and exam which it made faster and more accurate. It is now part of my navigation tool kit.Other students on the course liked it and bought their own.

Whoever made this plastic imitation of a rolling ruler apparently never saw a real one.It's absolutely unusable and worthless for its presumable purpose.Why? Because it's all made from poor quality, cheapest light-weight plastic. It's impossible to draw any parallel lines with this!--- TWO most important KEY ELEMENTS are missing,which renders this ruler totally useless(!)::1. NO METAL CYLINDER.This ruler is expected to be heavy to provide good connection with paper, to add inertia to the instrument, which in turn makes it easier to roll, and prevents slipping while rolling it and when drawing lines. But this "ruler" has weightless, empty plastic tube instead of solid steel cylinder.2. NO RUBBER RINGS on sides of CYLINDER.A REAL 'rolling ruler' is expected to have RUBBER RINGS around metal cylinder to provide good connection with paper and prevent slipping. This one has plastic wheels, easy-to-slip on any paper or anything else!Worthless!I tossed it into trash bin right away.P.S. Unless you want to waste your time turning it into some DIY project: to fill empty plastic tube with steel nails & fresh cement, and make rubber rings (from fingers of a kitchen glove, for example) & put them over slippery plastic wheels.

Very flimsy appearance but as emergency solution to a problem will do for now but suggest you look at a more expensive item

The ruler is fine with the exception that the wheels are made of a hard plastic and they slip on the paper making the thing useless. The last one I bought had silicone rollers and never slipped so did perfect parallel measurements.

Sadly it’s arrived today with a large crack in it. The amazon packaging looks fine, it’s the box & ruler inside that are both damaged.

The ruler did not roll properly as the roller was distorted and kept getting stuck. Returned for refund.

A l'air de l'informatique, on fait tout avec un PC. Mais quand on veut se remettre à la table à dessin, cet accessoire est vraiment pratique !
