Get a size bigger than what you normally wear because it will shrink a little after washing.Comfortable and fits me perfectly but shrank a little after I washing it. That's why I recommend getting a size larger. I'm 5.8 and 220 lbs.Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes.

These are excellent lounge-wear. They are very comfortable and the material seems to hold up well. The color is very pleasing.

I do ikebana presentations and traditionally, the presenter should wear black (or grey) so to not distract from the presentation. Hence, I bought black. I have another samue (dark blue cotton) I tried on and bought in Japan. The Japanese size was 3L and fits fine. The sizing for this item cofused me completely and in the end I just decided to buy my roomy US size and hope it kinda would be the same. I bought this in XXL and in the US I wear an XL t-shirt mostly but sometimes wear an XXL if I want room. I was delighted/relieved when it arrived and the tags read 3L Japanese size. I'm 5'9" with short legs (29" inseam). I used to lift so I need room in the chest and shoulders but I've also put on weight in my old age. The top fits me fine with room to be comfortable. There's no inseam description and the waist size covered a huge range, something like 38" to 54". OK. The deal is the pants are intended to be very baggy to allow unrestricted motion. The waist is elastic with a drawstring so even with my 38" waist, they stay up. The pants cuffs are bloused with drawstrings at the ankles. If I cinch the ankle drawstrings down, the inseam length fits fine. Without cinching the ankle drawstring, the inseam looks like about a 33" but that doesn't mean they would "fit" a 33" western perception of inseam. They are intended to comfortably fit a range of proportions. Overall, the quality is very good and the cotton polyester fabric has a more finished appearance than cotton and should last longer. Fabric weight is light to medium so it's good throughout the year in a temperate climate. I hope this diatribe helps sort out sizing issues.

I was sent a 4L Japanese which is XXL, I ordered last of 3XL, so jacket is not long enough nor big enough to fit right. Pants work ok but needed the brown 3XL. Needed for tall stocky people to meditate at temple.

quality fabric and stitching. hard to gauge size for a female body shape, but i took a gamble based on the body measurements, and i couldn't be more pleased! fit is comfortably loose without being shapeless, and stays closed where it should! this will be worn frequently! sleeves are a bit long, but that is a easy fix. likely to order more sets, especially if offered in more feminine colors/prints...

I am 6 ft., 220 lbs. , lardge bone structure.....Perfect fit with no movement restrictions...Very fine TRUE JAPANESE fine weave.......Green shade is close to a 1940's Japanese army officers shade....Top looks splendid with a high collar white shirt for semi-formal wear.

These samue are made from cloth that is mostly polyester. It's like restaurant worker clothing, or hospital scrubs. That has advantages and disadvantages. You never have to worry about shrinkage and the cloth is hard-wearing. You can toss these in the washer and dryer. They are also so heat-trapping that one could not wear these in warm weather. And the cloth is not as attractive as other KYOETSU products. But the description is honest.

I'm 6ft 2" with 34" leg, so I struggle finding trousers to fit. These are made quite long and baggy with strings to tie at the ankles so they will fit pretty much any leg length. The jacket was perfect size too. I'm usually a medium in H&M etc so i bought a large because I wanted a loose fit and this was spot on. Had lots of compliments since!

Comfortable, they are nice but no where near worth the money should be about £20.00
