Don't waste time and frustration with others, buy this instead.
I had ordered other bed lift kits on Amazon that were less expensive and as the saying goes you get what you pay for. After multiple versions of lbs. per strut I could not get the other springs to work not matter what pressure I tried. Some of them even flexed badly and did not inspire confidence that they would hold up. I finally broke down and bought this kit that comes with pretty much everything you need. I could not believe how easy it was to install and how flawless it has worked. My wife loves it and so do I. Don't waste time and frustration with less expensive gas struts for bed lifts. Buy this instead.

Tricky to install but well worth it
Took my time, followed the instructions and had it installed in about 90 minutes. Has been working well for the past month so far.

Well built but mislabeled
I ordered the BLK-SM-LITE (40lbs springs) twice from Amazon and both times received the standard 80 lbs springs so in my case, the bed hatch won’t close. It seems to be mislabeled (I don’t know if it was an Amazon error or a Hatchlift error). Other than I cannot use the kit, it seems well built and has all the necessary hardware to install. I watched a couple of YouTube videos available and was able to install it quickly but I had to remove it since the springs were too strong for my lightweight mattress.

Nice kit
Installed this on an under-bed storage space in an rpod 196. Works well. Follow the instructions carefully and you can’t go wrong.

Works when properly installed
Instructions were difficult to understand. The measurements in the instructions did not work as stated to locate the lifts. It was difficult to install them in the right positions to work correctly

If you need a hatch lift buy this one!
Excellent instructions and not hard to put in just be prepared to crawl around on the floor for a while. Do it the way the manufacturer wants and in no time you will have a hatch lift where you had none before. Can’t say enough good for these
