Organ Grinders

Second Bill Fitzhugh book I read after Pest Control. Funny, gruesome, twisted and totally packed with one event after another to keep you turning pages. I was hooked and have read almost all of Bill Fitzhugh's books. If you like mystery and humor you need to start reading Fitzhugh books!

Dark, dark comedy, very funny, quirky, sometimes hilarious, sometimes frightening, but completely engaging. It held my attention from page one onward.

The characters were not interesting or likable, and the plot was boring. Too much eco and pharma proselytizing. and it wasn't funny. i liked the bug assassin books much better.

Like Fitzhugh's first novel 'Pest Control', Organ Grinders brings together a wonderful cast of characters that'll leave you in stitches. And this story takes so many unbelievable turns you'll want to finish in one sitting. The good guys triumph. The bad guys die. And the cute little baboon 'Clyde' will put a smile on anyone's face. The ending is a bit predictable, and possibly too "ride off in the sunset" for some, but it's a great story and getting there IS half the fun.

One of my favorites

I've read a couple other books by Bill's books and always loved them. Great characters, great story line, involved and wonderful. This book was missing all of that - and then some. The main characters are SO uninteresting that I had a hard time continuing to read. I could have cared less if the old billionaire lived or died. Does the married eco-freak couple actually keep the baby ... WHO CARES.The story revolves around organ transplants, the drive of an old wealthy man to procreate and cure himself, a couple fighting for the rights of the environment, a third world organ thief of a doctor, and a crazy orphan who sells himself for a living. Yes it has promise. No - the story line does not deliver. Please don't buy this book. You'll only be disappointed.

not quite as good as _Heart Seizure_, but really good.

This book arrived right on time, and in perfect condition. What more could I ask for?
