Sailor Moon 8 Paperback – October 30, 2012

I read Sailor Moon 8 in one day within an hour and half. I couldn't put it down. This book had me on the edge of my seat. It was so dramatic. The only thing I have a problem with is that Kodansha combined the last Mugen story with the beginning of the first Dream story. I don't why but I guess when the Japanese re-released the original manga in reprint form, they probably did this to make the last Mugen story longer in length since it was shorter than the two before it. I wouldn't think that Kodansha did this to the English reprints since this is a literal translation from the Japanese reprint manga. Anyways, it was a good book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Too bad I have to wait until January 29, 2013 to get the next one. I hope they move up the release date to sometime in December. That would be better for this moonie.

Got for my cousin for her collection and the book came in perfect condition and everything and cheap.

I got this cheap just so I could have all of the Dream Arc, but I'll be honest with you; the conclusion to the Infinity Arc was actually quite good overall. Still doesn't exactly make up for the borefest leading up to it, but it was actually my favorite part of this volume. The first act of the Dream Arc was good, but it's my least favorite part of it. It just seemed kind of weak compared to the beginning of the anime. Everything from the ending with the age switch between Usagi and Chibiusa is gold, but like I said I prefer the anime's start (though the manga definitely has the better finish). This is probably going to be my least favorite of the Sailor Moon volumes I intend to collect (I'm not collecting volumes 6 and 7), but it was still enjoyable.

It comes with 2 colorful pages in the beginning. The quality of printing is awesome. I have been a fan of Sailormoon since I was little and was dying to get a proper manga collection in English and yes these books didn't disappoint me. The translation is very good, especially the helping pages in explanation of extra terms (Japanese term/culture) used in the book so readers can understand more about characters' action and dialogue.I can't wait to collect all of them. These books are way better than the old ones. Good job!

I've always been a fan of the anime, so getting the manga series that started it all really deepens my appreciation of the storyline and characters. I know many people complain about the faulty translation, but that hasn't hindered me from enjoying what has been an amazing series. I actually CRIED at one point when I read this particular volume, and anything that can make me do that is worth any imperfections. I'm intellectually and emotionally invested, so I intend to see my collection be complete. I just wish I didn't have to wait TWO whole months for every volume!!

A wonderful volume to a wonderful series. It has amazing art, characters, & plot line. I recommend it fully to anyone who loves anything shoujo. Also to anyone coming over from the anime, it is more straight to the point then the 90's anime was. But it still has its own way of being amazing.
