FenwickHMG Inshore Spinning Fishing Rod

My wife bought me this, and it is really nice, great quality.

I have these in ml, med, and mh. I've used the ml for everything from perch to tog to striper with no issues. It's very sensitive with plenty of backbone. The 7ft med is my go to for throwing soft plastics on 3/4 oz jigs to striper. I use the mh when throwing lures 1oz and above. These aren't the lightest or most sensitive rods out there, but they hold up well, and are hard to beat at this price point.

Hmg inshore rods are a gem at this price point. Light, crisp, comfortable. Smooth actions that really were worked out for working baits. Excellent jig rods too! I have two which are my favorite fluke rods. They're reminiscent of higher costing st Croix rods. Ive seen alot of guides on the east coast using these.

I have been cordial and patient with Pro Fish. My fishing rod broke after the second use, and they refuse to replace or refund the broken rod.I clearly addressed that the rod was defective. I have other rods of the same brand that I have had for over 20 years, and they are still in good use. The manner in which this new rod broke was under normal stress, if not minimal stress, is totally a result of a defect. A close examination of the rod reveals that the break is certainly not because of stress, but an apparent defect. It was my second time using the rod, and it broke without even being in my hand at the time; it was in a rod holder. The rod wasn't overstressed, as it snapped on the beginning of the fish bite. That is evident by looking at the break location on the rod; just below the 2nd Eyelet.Pro Fish said they would not refund/replace the rod. I am dumbfounded and dismayed that Pro Fish will not stand behind their product. Their customer service is disappointing and nonexistent.I would highly recommend and warn consumers to not purchase any product from Pro Fish. Customers run the risk of being unable to return defective product. I am out $100+.When the seller Pro Fish refused refund or replacement, I reached out to Amazon A-z claim and they were no better than Pro Fish. It is sad that sellers these days no longer back the products they sell. The only one that consistently values their customer is Costco.

Extremely well made with quality components. Very wide range of lure weights allows you a lot of flexibility when targeting species and water conditions. Locking reel seat is great for extra reel security. Can't wait to use it.

Have used Fenwick rods for many years and have served me well.

I paired this rod with a Penn Battle 3 8000 DX Battle3 DX Spinning reel. I based my opinion off a YouTube video. Also I would like to add that it would be great if packaged with bubble wrap or tube for safe delivery

The rod is good, but it arrived in poor packaging so two of the guides were bent. Rather than taking the trouble to send it back, I carefully and with some trepidation bent the guides back into (almost) the correct positions. In general this has been a problem. I'd be happy to pay $10 more for proper packaging for such items - just a suggestion.
