Sabatino Summer Truffle Carpaccio, 3.2 Ounce

Decadent, very good for an extra special ingredient for pasta, rice or any dish you would use mushrooms.

Just came back from Tuscany and loved al the truffle dishes. Brought back a few jars from trip but figured I could easily buy online and was concerned about what customers would confiscate. Should have taken the risk as these were bland and would never know I was even eating anything related to what truffles really taste like. Go to Italy and buy the real thing!

Not sure how it’s possible for truffles not to have a truffle flavor and yet…

The flavor is very delicate. You hardly taste it while eating, then it hits you afterwards. Best used as is on top of foods, e.g., sprinkle a tea spoon on an omelet or a salad.

These were a big fit for my foodie fan at home. I wasn't sure he'd like them (fresh is of course always best), but he's a huge fan and wants more! I think I've created a monster. :-) I'll definitely pick some more up for him. With the reasonable price he's been using them in everything.

It tasted more like olive oil than truffles.

Absolutely no flavor and I ended up tasting it with two friends and we threw the jar away because it was worthless. I got another brand as well and it came out amazing..
