Its a quality built knife.
I'm pleased with my purchase of the crescent pocket knife, i wasn't expecting this knife to be as good as it is at this price point. It has a nice weight to it, all parts are smooth to the touch, the knife opens easily with a front flipper, fits the hand nicely, has a deep carry pocket clip, was sharp right out of the packaging, makes a great EDC, or work knife.

Unbelievable quality, style, and substance for the price
This is a super nice budget edc knife that is actually just as nice as some of mine costing double.Ok, so there are a few signs of the budget mature. The liner lock on 1 of the 2 i bought was a bit hard to disengage. The thumb catch for the lock was not as proud of the scales making it hard to press and only partially release. The tumbled finish isc inconsistent between the 2, on 1 its beautiful, the other not as much, but still good. The color of the blade was also lighter on the just ok tumbled version. The jimping on the flipper and the top of the blade was well done and deep on the nice tumbled one, while the other had very rounded off shallow jimping. However all else was similar. Scales, blade shape and sharoness, blade centering. All that said, now the good. The action is really nice, smooth with ball bearings. Flupper works great. The flupper is the only way to deploy the knife. You can pull ot open with your other hand, but there is no finger recess.Detents for the lock and fold into the handle are great.Aluminum scales are well done, machining is very nice, they're are chamfered on all edges for comfort. The liners are all steal. A nice touch with the red spacers.Pocket clup is a great size, is deep carry, tip up, with the same tumbled finish as the blade. The color ofc the blade and pocket clip is a bit darker than the silver aluminum scales giving it a nice contrast and not looking all the same silver color. The blade profile is a greatThe size is great. It is a heavy and solid knife, that's c bonus in my mind, no issue carrying this everyday.Steel is a good all purpose all round D2 (unlike the G10 scaled versions.Watch some of the videos online, this is one tough knife.I bought 2 of these to beat on instead of my nicer knives, and Im sure they will. This Knife is a tank. And i don't feel like im sacrificing much compared to my other knives! You won't be dissapointed, Get one now as I believe this larger Crescent size is being discontinued!

Solid value
Sharp as shipped, solid extra deep pocket clip, positive closed position (unlikely to open inside pocket), smooth ball bearing flipper opening, solid liner lockup, no side-to-side blade play, centered blade, comfortable grip, "lifetime" warranty. About as large as I would want for EDC with 3.25" blade. Not too heavy for EDC, but not a lightweight. No frills: No fancy packaging, no relocatable clip, no extra blade locks, no spring opening assist, no blade coating, no sheath or case, plain black scales. Hollow ground blade, which in my opinion, is easer to sharpen, but less robust than flat ground.

great for the price you pay
I was looking around for a good first real pocket knife for my younger brother, something that he wouldn't be afraid to beat on and could easily be replaced but it had to hold up and be modern. Well this ticked all the boxes and came in well under budgetWith a harpoon-style Wharncliffe blade it excels at utilitarian and EDC tasks, with 5cr steel it is easy to sharpen and has moderate toughness and edge retention, it also has decent thickness behind the edge so I don't see much of a risk of chipping or a snapped tip.The ergonomics are good, it is comfortable to hold and even to death grip. the flipper is in a good spot as well as having good access to the liner lock bar. everything can easily be operated with one hand. It's pretty smooth too, it does have bearings but there is an internal stop pin that creates a little drag inside the liners, a little grease will solve that issue though.the detent is good, not too strong but has a good breakaway and won't unleash that stabby tip inside the pocket easilyIt has a good deep carry pocket clip, with a nice polish on it, it does go in and come out easily and since the handle scales are smooth there is zero risk of chewing up your pants with repeated drawing of the knife. The blade shape and dimensions are excellent, although the flipper does stick down quite a bit when opened, impeding use of the flat blade against a table or the like, unless you hang it off of the edge. The tip seems strong as mentioned above and beyond edc, I think it would excel in a self defense situation. It came sharp, shaving sharp and should hold that edge for a reasonable amount of time, especially for a sub $20 knife.best of all it has a LIFETIME WARRANTY from a reputable tool manufacturer.for the price it is on sale (around $11) you really can't lose and it would make an excellent work knife or beater edc blade

Excellent value and solid knife
This is a very nice knife with good weight and balance. It's not the sharpest blade as shipped, but I'm many have told me it can be sharpened up and can perform as well as much more expensive knifes

Great Knife for Shop / Work Site
I’m a cabinet maker / finish carpenter. This is a great work knife at a great price. 3.5 drop point blade my choice for pretty heavy woodworking related chores. Slim for easy fit in pocket, apron, or work belt. Smooth action. Important for me: can easily open, and then easily close, with one hand. Bearing smooth enough that blade falls back into handle. Composite scales are about indestructible. Holds edge pretty well. Not surprising it’s a good work knife - made by Crescent. Was surprised at low price. Bought several now for shop, belt, van, edc tool bag. Highly recommend.
