Benz Micro Silver 2mV Hi-Output Moving Coil Phono Cartridge

I was a firm believer that only MM cartridges could satisfy my vinyl tastes (acoustic jazz, classical, folk) because only MM cartridges (I thought) supplied the requisite power that works with my amplifier and which (I thought) intimate music requires. Was I wrong! This Benz Micro Silver is the high-output (HO) version of their great moving coil (MC) design cartridge, which means it puts out @ 2.5mV: not as much as a comparably priced Goldring or Nagaoka or Ortofon (which are in the 5 to 6mV range), but certainly enough to make a comparison without having to buy a step-up transformer. The soundstage is excellent, the depth of details is astonishing, and the whole presentation is gorgeous. To quote the Monkees: Now I'm a believer.
