Bought this to replace an ageing plastic kettle. I’d noticed that the plastic had started pitting or flaking away, and I can only assume that such plastic pieces had ended up in the water or whatever it was being added to.Hence the move to stainless steel. With the market as saturated as it is, and there being few ways to discern the good from the bad, I read the reviews of this kettle and took a chance on a brand I’d not heard of before (but found out to be British which is nice).Well the kettle is brilliant! Mostly everything that touches the water, save for the fill window and cover for the blue LED inside, is stainless steel. It looks great, is light enough and feels balanced in the hand, even when full. The blue light is a nice touch when boiling, and it boils pretty quickly.It’s as loud as a kettle is to be honest. I got confused by other reviews and people saying their kettle was too loud.. I don’t think I’ve ever had a quiet kettle.. I didn’t think it was something people were conscious of.Anyway, if you’re considering this kettle, rest assured if all you’re looking for is a functional, easy to use, good looking stainless steel kettle, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a very pleasing stainless steel kettle of traditional design. It is portable, light and convenient to use. The handle can be folded and it will operate with a variety of heat sources. It has a boiling warning whistle and is very user friendly. It is light weight but has a stable base. Lightness is of course an advantage if the kettle has to be carried with other gear but it is equally welcome in the domestic environment. Given the ubiquity of electric kettles of very modern design such a traditional item seems very appealing. The price is considerably less than many kettles currently on the market. My view is that it is an artifact which is nicely designed, well made following an established form, practical, and good value for money.

This is a great kettle. It does what it's meant to do quickly and looks good on the countertop. We got the stainless steel one, and it isn't heavy at all (I suspect the reviews complaing about the weight are of the version with the glass carafe). I have deducted one star because, not being insulated, it gets extremely hot to the touch. Easy enough to avoid touching the outside of it if you expect it, but maybe not the best choice for close quarters or home where little hands may get close...

The media could not be loaded. The ANSIO Electric Kettle is fantastic! With its stainless steel design and 1.7L capacity, it is perfect for boiling water quickly. Wanted a stainless steel kettle but the options were quite restricted (most seem to be plastic). Was unsure whether to buy a well known brand but thought I’d give this a try as it was exactly what I was looking for at a keen price.Two weeks in I am not disappointed. It is a really stylish looking kettle that appear well made and works very efficiently. It boils quickly and with no more noise than any other kettle.

Very pleased with this minimalist stainless steel design. Good value, easy to fill with button-operated flip up lid set smoothly into the top. A blue light during operation, good pourer, quick and quiet. British too. Simple to add the free 2-year warranty online. Delivered within 12 hours thanks to Prime.

Took a few fills and boils to clear the chemical coating from the interior but it's fine after maybe 6 cycles. Super fast to boil and looks great. Very easy to fill and has a nice pour. So pleased we went for this and not something more expensive. Need a kettle get this you will be happy enough with it.

It boils water , fairly quickly and not too noisy, and doesn't leak after 2 years daily use What else can you say.
