Good radio
Great radio, great signal, a little complicated to understand how to use but fine once I watched a YouTube vedio.I use mine for airsoft and had great connection to other members as I'm a marshal.

All good so far..
Not used outside as yet. But so far so good. Be sure to get the programming cable and use licence free frequencies. Just google “pmr 446” codes and copy them into the programming tool. I’m a noob but worked it out in about 30 minutes. The programming software is a free download and there are a couple of options. Check YouTube :) that’s what I did.

These DO NEED a license for UK use
These are a very good compact transceiver they are typically a rebadged Baofeng (which is what I own).Fully programmable via a dedicated lead and software. And very good at their job for such a small outlayHowever .WARNING UK CITIZENSA lot of reviews say a uk license is not needed if you program to the 'free UK pmr channels ..... unfortunately this is not true as the uk regulations for free pmr limits the total power output to 0.5 watts ..... these radios however output at 5 Watts on full power or, 1 watt on low power so you DO need a license to transmit. They also have a removable aerial where as UK regulations state that license free units MUST have a NON REMOVABLE aerial. It is however NOT against the uk regulations to listen in. Just don't press the PTT button and you'll be fine and stay legal.
