CarharttMen's Loose Fit Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket

Hubby needed a new heavy duty coat for work. This fits! Heavy cloth resists tearing, protects from thorns, wires. Broad enough in the shoulders to move his arms easily & long enough to not ride up even when stretching or sitting. Good quality zippers. Keeps him warm without overheating.

Super nice jacket. For me, it's very warm, and yet keeps you cool as well. I'm always cold, and generally wear a hooded sweatshirt under my jacket. With this one, I've not needed one. We'll see when we get some sub-freezing temperatures again, as I'm in California, and the lows have been mostly mid to higher 30s lately in my area. I'm pretty sure it will be fine as the bottom stays snug against you, keeping the drafts out. The sleeves do as well, and I love that the canvas extends below the cuff, hiding it. The hood is nice and large, drawstring will tighten it to the point it looks like a ski mask, and when zipped up fully, the neckline is nice and snug. Ample pocket space, but can't use the outer pockets for a cellphone without it standing, risking it falling out. Inside pockets are zippered on the left and velcro patch in middle of right. Left can close with my s24+ inside, but in right pocket, it fits, but blocks the velcro. Small details in my opinion, but may matter to some. As for the zipper, it's metal(looks like brass), and feels like it's robust enough that it will last the life of the jacket. Overall, excellent quality as always.

Really nice, warm jacket. Heavy and comfortable with attached hood. It did shrink a decent amount but that was expected, I don’t think it faded but it could have. We didn’t experience any color bleed.

Love Carhartt items. Always durable and quality is always there. Lining of the jacket is soft and comfortable. This jacket is more lightweight than others I feel but still keeps you warm.

These coats are simply awesome. Use all the time around the house. Deadly effective in strong cold winds. The duck fabric keeps you dry. Used in a frigid trip to Iceland last month. Extreme weather. High winds, below zero temps, driving rain, sleet and snow. Never felt anything but warm and dry. Oversized perfectly to allow layering. Tossed my specialty mountain wear. This is my new go to for any tough weather. Also perfect for normal chilly mornings. Great job Carhartt.

Fits perfectly fine even with or without hoodie so it's great to layer it with something. Very warm and comfortable.Only problem I have is i asked for size L (Loose Fit) and got sent M (Loose Fit) although the sticker on arm says L (regular fit). I'm not sure if that's how they size it up in Carhartt or is it just Amazon not caring enough and sending people the wrong item.I couldn't decide if I wanted to order L or M so it worked out great at the end for me but keep in mind they may or may not send you wrong size.

It’s not super thick but it’s definitely a great carhartt coat !! My husband works a very rough dirty job as a welder in the sheet metal union and it hasn’t gotten torn up or as dirty as his regular coats ..perfect for the price and even though it’s not that thick it still definitely keeps him really warm during this past winter !!

I'm 5'11 and 190lbs of muscle, a MEDIUM fit me perfectly with space to wear a sweater underneath if need, but this jacket is very warm, so I doubt i will need to.Good quality as most Carhartt products.
