This doesn’t come with the battery. Had to look through other’s reviews to even find what size it takes. CR 1632. You don’t mention this anywhere I could find going back and rereading the product description. Not a battery most people have lying around. So, when I needed it, I couldn’t use it.

Loved that with the magnetic option I can set it anywhere handy that has magnetic properties, ie: grill, refrigerator etc. Probably the main feature I like compared to another pen I have that doesn't have this option.Another feature I liked compared to another brand of one I have is there is no switch to turn on and off. SImply swinging out the probe from it's 'stored' state activates it and closing it, shuts it off. I keep forgetting on the other unit, this is now my favorite.While smoking a Turkey breast this past weekend, it makes for a nice quick check of other areas of the meat I'm cooking to confirm if at the desired temp or not. I found it within 1 degree of my BBQ-4T probes and other testing I had done.Would buy again and recommend to others especially for the magnetic option, no more searching a drawer for it

Excellent value for an instant-read thermometer and a cheaper competitor to Inkbird’s other instant read thermometer, the IHT-1P. As with the IHT-1P, the performance of the BBQGO BG-HH1C compares favorably with the more expensive Thermapen. I did a side-by-side comparison and found the BBQ Go read within a couple seconds of the Thermapen. As opposed to the $79-$99 cost of the Thermapen or $24.99 for the Inkbird IHT-1P, the BBQ Go is only $12.99.Compared with the Inkbird IHT-1P instant read thermometer, the BBQ Go also has a hold button, a magnetic back, and can be calibrated (although after 9 months of use, I’ve never had to calibrate the IHT-1P). Differences include it being slightly smaller and lighter, not waterproof, no backlight and uses a replaceable CR1632 lithium battery versus an internal rechargeable lithium battery; however, at about half the price of the Inkbird IHT-1P, it’s still a great value and a very capable unit.

This Is another fine product by Inkbird. This thermometer is all you need for perfectly cooked food every time. Comparing it to more expensive brands, this one tops them all. The reading is accurate and it’s quick. You’re not waiting for the temperature to rise. It really in an instant read. You can be certain your food is at the safe temperature you need and there’s no more fumbling through a drawer with the included secure magnet. It secures on any metal object for easy reach. I can’t speak for battery life yet, but if it’s like other Inkbird products, the battery will last a long time. I wouldn’t BBQ without a thermometer and I sure wouldn’t BBQ without the Inkbird Instant Read. It’s the same outstanding product I’ve come to expect from Inkbird. And the price cannot be beat for quality like this.

Was standing at the smoker and realized that my two year old had taken my old instant read and done something with it so I was stuck guessing if the brisket was ready to be wrapped or if I should continue to let it smoke. Luckily for me the mail man rang the door bell and all was solved.Thermometer works very well and very quickly. Has a nice sleek look to it as well.

Does the job great and durable. Dropped it several times and it's still working. Seems accurate enough. I haven't gotten sick yet. The screen is easy to read and the magnet is super strong. P.s Don't stick it to the side of your grill. It will melt. I didn't so that. I just had an Ally McBeal moment and envisioned the scenario and the sads that came with it. Bottom Line, TLDR: It works

This thermometer is easy to use and the digital read out makes it easy to see your food temp quickly. Switching between C and F is done by pressing the button nearby the digital screen. The primary reason i purchased this thermometer was because of the "stow and go" feature of the probe. My old thermometer probe does not fold and has become damaged in my utensil drawer. I expect this one to last much longer because of this nice feature.
