Unless you've strictly got documents that you really want locked inside an already locked firesafe, this shelf is the only one you'll need. The other is thin, feels flimsy, and allows clumsy spills, and the locking drawer is too bulky and flimsy to make it worthwhile. This shelf is the perfect intermediary - it keeps stuff elevated, but also collected.

I purchased this 903 Shelf along with the 912 Tray and they both fit perfectly and snug in my SFW123GDF SentrySafe. Inserting and removing the shelf from the safe is easy enough, but the safe door has to be opened fully. So be sure to place the safe somewhere that enables the door to swing open wide if you intend to be pulling the shelf out at all in the future.Although, the shelf is only sturdy enough to hold light to moderate weight items without bowing. I wouldn't recommend putting anything too heavy on it. Also, in my opinion, I believe the shelf is thin enough as to not take up too much space, but is adequate enough to keep your belongings separated and organized.My safe came with the locking drawer, but I took that out as it took up a lot of space, the locking mechanism was flimsy, and difficult to open without siding it halfway out of the safe first. The 903 Shelf was the perfect solution for me. I would say it is a must-have for these types of Sentry safes if your safe doesn't already come with one, or you should consider getting a second one.

Perhaps a mistake for not reading enough reviews since 90% were 5 (77%) and 4 (13%). I gave it a overall 3 rating since I will use it and it is compatible with my safe, which is likely all Sentry Safe intended. But it is cheap and useless as a theft deterrent.The key and lock are cheap and could easily be picked with a paperclip. But why waste your time. The lock only locks the cover on the left side. The very light cheap plastic can be lifted easily on the right and the contents emptied out. I could actually store the key for the compartment inside the compartment.This compartment is fine for use inside a compatible Sentry Safe as a deterrent for honest people only. If you have need for someone to have access to your safe contents, but not to some items. I would never use it to transport or keep anything outside of the safe.Since I will only use it to keep certain items within my safe separated, and with slightly less easy access, from other items it will serve its purpose. It is a much more efficient use of space than the other steel cases and security document cases I looked at. While they would fit, they take up much more space.
