Superior Pump 92060 Sump Alarm System with 15-Foot Tethered Float Switch , Black

This alarm saved my but when the float switch died a few months ago. It works as it should and is simple to install.

I recently had a plumbing inspector request that I install an alarm for my basement bathroom's sewage ejector. Once again, I found it here on Amazon, where I could not find it at my local hardware store. This alarm works to notify a homeowner if the sewage ejector fails and water starts accumulating. The warning is triggered when the float rises from the water accumulation. I like that the instructions were straightforward and I did not have to hire a plumber to install. The setup required removing the ejector lid and clamping the float to the side pipe. I then made a new hole to run the wiring through to connect to the alarm. I also tightened the extra wiring with zip ties. I then plugged it in, hung it, and that was it! I tested the alarm and am very pleased about how easy this was to install, saving me money by not requiring a plumber. Overall very pleased with this order. It looks very well made, a great value, and I highly recommend it. Therefore I rate this product a five out of five stars.

I was a bit nervous about this alarm for my sump pump however all the nervousness is gone! I’m 100% impressed! As a midwestern it has literally saved me thousands of dollars! I’ve had this for a few weeks and it’s saved my home 2 times already! Huge relief as renovations are still occurring from flood on my lower level! We’ve had some heavy flooding with flash floods and this alarm system is loud enough to hear from my 3rd level! Obviously it’s not as loud on the 3rd floor as 1st floor but it wakes me up so we can address the situation!

Great product - we are using it for a sewage pump in the basement. I took a star off because the install isn't as simple as some of these reviews made me believe - my plumber installed it and it took him almost 2 hours. I think when you are using it for sewage pump, it is more work than a sump pump. Sump pump only has water. Sewage pump has waste, and you have to seal the lid completely to make sure sewer gases don't come out into the living space - so every pipe and cable in and out of the lid also has to be handled very carefully to make sure there are no gaps that could leak gas/odor. He placed the float right above the Moeller pump, as recommended by the manufacturer, and had to take apart the pipes and take the pump out of the pit to do it. We tested it out a few times. Its a great product - love the Test button and the battery backup. When we tested it, i could hear the alarm very clearly one floor above, in a different part of the house. I might put one in my basement sump pump as well - but that install should be a lot simpler.

I've had this alarm for more than 6 months. It's great. It's hooked up to my almost tired-less sump pump. It has sounded the alarm 2 times recently. My super overworked sump pump has taken a break twice, so the alarm let me know when the water reach a certain level in the sump pump well. After clicking a button on the unit to turn it off (the unit resets automatically at that point), I simply moved the sump pump cover over to see what's going on. My sump pump wakes up and starts working like a champ again. I'm convinced that my home is near a water table. It's located at the bottom of a hill, so that probably causes underground water to rise too. I highly recommend the sump pump alarm. It sounds the alarm loud enough to hear it throughout a two level home. The 9v battery back up also puts my mind at ease. It's easy to install and it's solidly built.

Liked the simple installation. Came with stainless steel clamp and plastic clip to easily adjust float level. Alarm box must be mounted inside near a 120 v outlet . You will need some direct bury wire if your tank is outdoors. Float switch wire is 18 gauge. Alarm is quite loud.

I feel safer with this on my sump pump

I’ve only had this item for a couple weeks but it works and seems sturdy enough. I thought the price was reasonable.

This was a deal. The plumbing company wanted $329.00 for this alarm. Was the exact same unit with a different decal on it. Install was very easy and works great. Quality is very good or better compared to more expensive units.
