Just what the doctor ordered!!! Super easy yo install, no issues, just remove the existing RAM memory and install the new ( making sure they snapped into place ) I ordered this memory to upgrade the 12GB of RAM memory in my DELL XPS 8700 desktop computer. It was a simple upgrade that made the computer "come to life" it's MUCH faster and runs smoother than ever. My Giga-byte Mother board has been running on 8 GB RAM for many years. I bought two of these and upgraded to a total of 24 GB RAM. I was uncertain if the mismatch would cause a problem, but it hasn't. I installed the upgrade 6 months ago and had no problems. To be clear, my Mobo has 4 slots. The first two slots each had a 4GB stick. I added 2 of these 8 GB sticks to the second pair of slots. I have had no issues running a Linux OS. Performance is greatly improved.

I have never witnessed the awesome performance upgrade that adding additional RAM to a PC can provide. Just WOW! The internet is becoming far more advanced with each passing day, and because of this simple, low memory tasks of that past are no more. Mostly everything requires lots of RAM, so if you only have 8GB of RAM you know the pain...So, after pulling my last hair out waiting for Google Chrome to load a webpage I decided to finally see if my PC was able to upgrade the RAM. Sho nuf!! I had 8GB installed and was expandable to 16GB so the decision was a no brainer. First of all, I couldn't believe how cheap RAM was...I was expecting to pay an arm and a leg for some reason...Anyway, if you have working fingers and are able to unscrew screws then you can do this, it's that simple! I managed my way inside my PC and popped out the two child's play 4GB RAM and stuck in the two brand new 8GB sticks giving me 16 total GB. My PC absolutely FLIES now!! I'm so mad I didn't do this earlier. It was so easy, so cheap, and the instant performance is unreal. Once you get the RAM installed in their slot, there is nothing else to do the PC software instantly recognizes the new RAM and takes over from there. I can't recommend doing RAM upgrade, especially for us lowly 8GB RAM plebes. Just do it, do it! Upgrade *if possible* and thank me later!

Great solution to add some extra speed to a Dell Inspiron 3650. If you've ever tried upgrading the RAM in one of these you might know that they're pretty picky about exactly what they'll take. You can buy most DDR3 1600 off the shelf at the box stores and it's not going to work. This did the trick though... two sticks brought the machine up to it's max 16gb of usable RAM. It's End Of Life on Crucial's own site so this is one of the few places you're going to be able to find it.

Product was good and fit my Hp computer just fine. my only issue was it took way too long to deliver. I am a prime member and it still took over a week it seems.

I wanted to upgrade our older Lenovo desktop from its standard 4 Gigs of ram. Crucial's tool for recommending memory upgrades got me the part number. I purchased this module via Amazon Marketing. Delivery was reasonable after the order was confirmed. The part appears to be new as other posters have wrote that end of life computer memory is often pulled out of computers. Installation was reasonably easy. Windows 10 recognized the memory and it appears that the pc is running a bit faster. I am holding the original 4 Gigs of ram as a fall-back. Thought about seeing if it would work along with the new ram, but I don't think it will improve performance much more. Thanks Amazon.

Excellent performance

I installed this extra 8GB on my HP 550 a209. It took only 5 minutes to install. The computer recognized it automatically and everything works fine. Excellent product.
