10 different pieces besides the Happy birthday part. This is not all one piece FYI. I did end up hot gluing the sticks to the characters just to make sure they weren't going anywhere. There were glue tabs included.

The only reason I gave it a lesser rating is the pieces did not come with the sticks attached to the pieces. The whole purpose of doing a cake topper like this is to make decorating convenient.

Not happy with the size way smaller than expected the description say 6 by 8 and will fit a 10 in cake. This is obviously way smaller. Disapointed.
