Never going back
Purchased so I could perform the first oil change on my new car. Heard of this brand from a JDM guy on YouTube that I trust, and since this is my first JDM car I figured it's the perfect time to try it out.I'm not sure what brand was in it before, but I do know it was one of the typical "US" brands.I could tell a difference after changing the oil over to this product. The old oil wasn't that old, I was just changing as I always do an oil change shortly after buying a used car, but this car was well taken care of, had the history and knew it was changed just a month prior. But changing over to this oil seemed like the first step in what this car needed to feel nice again. Changing this engine oil and then a week later filling it with its recommended premium 91 fuel brought this girl back to life in a big way. Maybe it's all in my head, but I've been doing this for years with dozens of cars and trucks. I know a thing or two, and I noticed the subtle difference. Its a quality product, and I won't go back unless they stop selling it.

a fine quality product
I changed the oil about 8 months ago and about 5k miles---the engine ahs consumed no oil since and the oil still has a very slippery feel when rubbed between my fingers. the manufacturer of this oil is the same one that supplies Subaru with their brand named oils

The same quality, feel the difference right away after oil chagnge
I researched quite and bit and make sure this is just a new look for the packing (the jug will be silver instead of gold and label is also different) not some fake brand. The change is because the manufacturer introduce new standard system for the oil. You can go to their official website to check the now packaging and other info. I think the official website even suggests the oil quality is slightly better compared under the new standard.I have two Subaru Foresters 2015 and 2019, feel the difference right away after oil change. Also, I used 5W-30 in summer for better lubrication (but slightly worse MPG) and compensate for oil burning problem. I will switch back to 0W-20 in winter time when oil becomes thicker in cold.

i’ve always fed my 2002 toyota 4runner with idemitsu full-synthetic 5w30 every 3-5k miles. i live and die by idemitsu for as long as my 4runner is running (aka forever).FYI idemitsu changed their branding/color of the 5 qt container. it’s not gold anymore, the bottle came silver this time around

product description/pic needs updating
What I received was the new 5W30 packaging in the silver jug.... Idemitsu IFG 3 5W30. (which is fine for me, but may confuse others). Planning to do a Blackstone analysis to see how this does in our 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe.
