I had meniscus surgery 2 years ago, and since then I have walked with a limp. This is not surprising, since my knee is not structurally the same as it once was. I tried the McDavid 425 knee support initially for a while, but it did not give the support I needed. Using the 425 I was walking slightly better, but still limping. I decided to try the McDavid 419. What a difference! This is a simple wrap type knee support, but it has 2 moveable foam rubber support pieces. These supports are velcro backed, and can be placed right where they are needed. This is makes this knee wrap different, and effective. I can walk just fine now, no more limping. I put one of these on as soon as I get up, and wear it all day. I wear this thing into the shower at night and wash it off, then hang it on the shower door to dry out. The material is similar to what is used in a wetsuit. It has held up just fine. I have 2 of these, and rotate their use so I always have a dry one available.. This product is simple, but effective!

Good support, new one Velcro aren't as good as the older ones-I have 4 of these. Good support & allow for good blood flow!

I ordered these knee braces. They’re not too constricting, but constricting enough to where my knee doesn’t shift.

Over the past 8 yrs I have had rt knee pain from deteriorating cartilage. Been getting the 3 shot series of Orthovisc injections once a yr which has been very beneficial. When doing any physical activity, though, I have been wearing various wraps or light braces on my knee.. A couple weeks ago I saw this small McDavid wrap at a Goodwill Store laying on a shelf, for $3.99, It looked unused. So, I bought it! Might as well try it! Well, it is by far the best of the wraps and braces I have use in the past. Started using it whenever needed, with the rest put in a drawer. So, I order one via Amazon as a backup. Maybe donate my old wraps/braces to a Goodwill Store!

I have prior models of these braces in L/XL size from 2015, 2016 and 2017. The amount of velcro changed at some point, but the length of the braces are identical. They are all 1 inch LONGER than the 2024 item. The current L/XL incarnation would fit a 15-16 inch knee comfortably and a 17 inch knee if you don't mind having circulation impeded somewhat. Anything larger than 17 inches and the velcro hook section will be exposed to bare flesh. Fortunately for me, my 15 1/2 inch knee is the perfect size. It eliminates knee pain both standing and walking and is the only brace out of the dozen I've tried that doesn't interfere with lower leg circulation. I can wear it comfortably all day. Be aware this thing really does not breathe. The elastic band can get soaked with sweat, even walking.

I have purchased this knee brace in the past and was very happy with it. That one has become worn and I purchased the exact model/ size. To my disappointment, it IS NOT the same knee brace. The back is wider and the straps are shorter. It is also overall about an inch or so longer. Because of this, it is not only to big for my knee but it does not support my knee. It more fits around my knee cap offering zero knee support. I understand the company offering other products, but please offer the old products to. This is disappointing and I will have to go with another brand now.

It actually gives support needed with adjustable cushion pads. Love it!

I ordered this knee brace because I have pain in my right knee from not wearing orthesis in my shoes. I feel the pain mostly at work because I stay up on my feet all day. Maybe this brace was not the best to buy for what I needed. Inside the strap itself there are little cushions that I assume are for better support but they just end up cutting through my skin after wearing it for an hour. I took them off completely at some point and I like it better this way. I would also wear it when I go running but it would fall off, and if it tighten it enough for it to stay in place it would cut my blood circulation. It also fold where the knee bends as i run and always have to unfold it and put it back in place. I wanted to love it so much but I realize that it might have not been a good investment for me.
