love Lews reels and this low end reel is still a great reel. smooth and cast great for 50.00 i recommend this for beginners and for they guys who want a rig for every bait style but have limited budget. will buy more and i have 2 of these already. also i put them on the KVD IG8 Graphite rods. got those on sale for 80.00i always put a drop of oil on the bearings straight of the box.

After reading some of the glowing reviews for this reel I find of rolled my eyes and said "ya right". Well I'll be the first to eat crow. This reel was phenomenal tonight. Not a single backlash (and I suck with a baitcaster) long casts and nice and smooth. I had reels with me that cost 3 times as much as this one and I never even picked them up. If you're just getting into baitcasting reels I would highly recommend this reel.

Super smooth and quiet reel. Casts far and minimal backlashing with dialed in brakes. Im using it strictly for a rattletraping rod and ts performing great, has landed a few already but nothing big enough to put the drag system to the test, yet.... Very firm feel as well. No twisting around in your grip when under load like cheaper plastic framed reels. Reel has a much lower profile than comparable baitcasters, very easy to palm, so if you hace huge hands this will feel like a baby baitcaster. For under $60 its a great value and has better feel and smoothness than many of my more expensive reels. Id reccomend this and I wish they had it in more gear ratios, a slower one for cranking would be nice.

Bought this reel thinking I’d casually dabble in fishing. Three weekends later, I’m standing ankle-deep in a creek, whispering sweet nothings to this reel like it’s a trusted war buddy. It casts smoother than a pickup line at a boat show and reels in fish like it’s personally offended they’re trying to escape.

Had it for a week and on the water 2 times. I’m a very bin fan so far. The frame feels sturdy but light in your hand. Put 2/3rds of the spool mono backing and 50 lb braid on the rest to pitch and it’s been great. Easy to dial in and casts smooth once you get it going. I think it’s one of the best reels for the money and it performs comparable or better than my $130 Ark G2 in the same gear ratio. Likely will buy more just wish they had more variety in the gear ratios

This is yet another great bait caster from lews. I've purchased their top of the line caster and their cheapest bargain caster. Yes, I can certainly tell the difference - butb I've yet to have any issues with any lews product. They're all great!

Love this reel didn’t think I would took a chance and it preformed well I prefer big reels because of big hands but this one impressed me we will see how well it does over time
