Requires No Tools or Special Set Up - Just Hang Up and GO
After the foam padding came off our old pullup bar system and discovering that it was cheaper to purchase a new bar as opposed to buying new padding, we purchased the ProsourceFit Multi-Grip Lite Pull Up/Chin Up Bar to replace the old bar. The ProsourceFit Multi-Grip Pull Up Bar is an excellent replacement for our old bar. Unlike our old bar which was literally just a bar that was screwed into the doorframe, this bar is a full system with multiple grips so you can perform your pull-ups while isolating different muscles. You can perform the standard overhand and underhand grips, but this bar allows for the hammer grip where your palms face each other. Because of the bar extends past the doorframe, some may also be able to perform wider stance grips. As far as installation goes, the bar can be installed without the use of any tools - simply hang over the doorframe and you're ready to go. The only "complaint" I have with this bar is that I cannot close the door of our study with it in place - but it's a very minor complaint because it's easy enough to simply lift out of the doorway when needed. Overall, this is a very well-made pull-up bar that the son and husband enjoy using daily as part of their upper body workout. It's reasonably priced, well made, and something I would purchase again.

Rock-Solid Pull-Up Bar – Built to Last!
I bought this pull-up bar several years ago around Christmas, and I’m still using it to this day. I originally got it to help build muscle in my arms, back, and especially my chest. I was looking for something similar to the Iron Gym pull-up bar I had as a teenager—but better. After a lot of searching (and watching YouTube reviews), I found this one on Amazon, and it checked every box. What makes this bar stand out is that it’s solid—one solid piece with no screws, no assembly required. You just take it out of the box and it’s ready to go. That’s exactly what I wanted. It’s incredibly sturdy and feels like it’s part of the doorframe when mounted. There’s no wobble, no slipping, and it doesn’t leave marks behind, unlike other flimsy bars I’ve tried. It’s also super easy to attach, remove, fold, and store. You can even place it on the ground for push-ups. For around $30–$35, it was an absolute steal. It’s easily a 5 out of 5 stars from me—this thing is a masterclass in pull-up bar design.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid Pull-Up Bar for Home Workouts with a Few Minor Flaws
I’ve been using the ProsourceFit Pull Up Bar in my home gym for a couple of months now, and overall I’m really happy with it. It’s a great addition to my workout routine and gives me a lot of versatility for upper body training. First off, installation was pretty straightforward. With the included hardware and instructions, it didn’t take long to get the bar mounted and ready to use. The bar feels stable and secure once it’s in place, and I haven’t noticed any wobbling or shifting during use, even when I’m doing kipping pull-ups or leg raises. The grip padding is comfortable and keeps my hands from slipping, which is something I appreciated right away. It also makes it easier to work through longer pull-up sets without as much hand fatigue. I like that it’s designed for multi-use so I can do pull-ups, chin-ups, leg lifts, knee raises, even hanging core work without needing extra equipment. My only small complaints are that the installation hardware could be a bit more heavy-duty, and the instructions might be confusing if you aren’t familiar with mounting bars. I had to double-check a few steps online just to be sure I was doing it right. Also, if you have wider door frames or odd stud placements, you might need to do some extra measuring before you start drilling. Overall though, this pull-up bar delivers on what it promises. It’s sturdy, functional, and a solid value compared to more expensive options. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to add a pull-up station to their home gym without breaking the bank. Four stars!

Practicability - Simplicity - Versatility
I’m so pleased with the bar. The bar is self-locked thanks to the simple mechanism of applying force towards both sides of the doorframe, which is wonderful because a stable doorframe is all you need to start your favorite training. Some cracks on my doorframe can be seen in the photos due to the required torque to keep it firmly mounted and they actually cause no harm to the door, at least for me. It comes with two caps and enough screws in case you want to have it mounted fixed on surfaces that provide insufficient friction to hold up or to support greater body weight. Slip resistance? Good, I’m sweaty hands and still comfortably uncomfortable with it, a little bit of off-grip can train your grip. Adjustability? Just as advertised. Weight Support? Not tested beyond 150 lbs, but I believe it will hold up strong under greater load with its solid build. Most importantly, I’m 5’6”, ~ 154 lbs, almost ideal to hang from this bar mounted on a doorframe in my perspective, taller people might struggle to maintain good form between reps. Overall, a must-have for calisthenics lovers.

OK unit but I couldn't use it - EXTENSIVE REVIEW
Product Assembly I found that assembly was simple and took about 10 minutes just by looking at the picture in the guide booklet. I noticed that the bolts and nuts do contain some oil or grease as it is a machined part so take caution when assembling on carpet or wearing `good' clothes. The kit comes with a small wrench and allen wrench for assembly. I noticed that some of the bolts felt like the allen shaft would not fit, like there was a slight size difference, if you use the provided kit, apply a little extra force when inserting the allen into the bolt. I'm not complaining, I'm glad they provide the tools with the kit so I didn't have to go find the right sizes of my own. I also noticed that it was easy for the provided wrench to become wedged between the lock washer and the frame or bolt, wiggle it enough and it will come out - or loosen the bolt to free it. Once it was assembled, it felt nice and tight like I expected. Product Use...not so much While assembling, I looked the unit over to determine if there were any points in which may cause contact with the wall or may be uncomfortable when using, i.e. a protruding bolt or nut. As others have noted, the pad bar is secured by two bolts, the pad has been designed to touch the wall before the bolt head has a chance but I can see this being a problem. It would be advisable to place another pad on top of the existing or cover the bolt head with something so it doesn't touch your wall. Unfortunately or fortunately, whichever way you see it, I haven't been able to test the unit because my door frames are too thick. I live in a 1912 historic home that has all original crown molding and wood trim. The door frames and encasings have extensive wood trim, thus making it wider or thicker than a normal door from thickness. I don't think it lacks very much from fitting, the thickness of the doorframe is ~7.8" with the wood trim. It would be nice to have a product that has bolt holes for both a larger and normal size frame. The kit also comes with `optional' brackets to mount on the wall, not that I would use these EVER on my walls but I wanted to clarify their use. They would not have helped in my situation before the frame still has to be placed in the door way. The brackets are for additional support on the backside of the door frame. If your frame had small or weak molding for example, you could mount these above the molding and the bar would slide down into the brackets for a more secure fit - if you are a heavier breed then this may also be beneficial. I plan on using this in a normal size door frame before I send it back and review the construction under ACTUAL use. ACTUAL product use I am 6'5" and 185 and product use for me was fine - I didn't have any issues being taller and using this in a door frame. If you are taller and see eye level then get on your knees to use it, common sense and better exercise. I also saw that someone complained the bars were setup in a way that you can only do wide grip or normal depending on your wing span. This is true; however, you can unbolt 4 bolts and flip the bars around for close grip. Is it not a quick solution and I am surprised the manufacturer didn't go ahead and make the handles longer for a close and wide grip setup. If by reading this you think you will alternate between the two, don't count on it, after several `changes' I can see the nut, bolt and lock washer wearing out - one of the bolts started stripping after I changed it around once, which may have been because the provided tool may be slightly smaller than a normal sized allen wrench tool. In fact, there is what I call a normal grip from the U tubing that the top handle sits on - no it doesn't have an actual foam grip but use it without or wrap it with athletic tape if you decide to use this product or you can reach through the U tubing and grab a section of the `top bar' but it also does not have a grip. The other grips you see in the picture around the U tubing might be for other exercises - the ones on the floor, which I had no interest in. When I first used this is slide a little and it gave me the false sense of `This things is not going to hold me', it's an uneasy feeling putting all of your body weight on something that you have no clue if it will support you - it does. It handled my weight fine and I did not bend any bars and I jerked to somewhat test the limits. I didn't like the fact that it slid when I first used it and it slid during a couple or reps, mostly because I was doing them quickly, when I controlled myself it didn't budge. I can see where some people may do theirs quickly in an attempt to get it done but do yourself a favor and control your speed and `jerkiness' it will help you build strength and stamina. Summary Instructions were OK Assembly and guide booklet were OK Installing/placing unit in door frame was BAD and unusable for thicker door frames and DECENT for normal with the covering of the bolt heads to ensure no wall damage (I did not have a problem with the bolts because when I placed it in the door frame it was slightly tilted and they could not touch the wood - this again was a wider than normal door frame) Product use was OK but I didn't like the fact that in my doorway it slid a little LACKS quality grips, close grip bar (unless you change handle position - see above), protection for bolt heads on wall or door frame (did not affect me as the unit was tilted in the door frame I tested). I have never owned any other bar but will be looking for one that works in a thicker door frame - I'll critique it once used so if you have a thicker door frame, look for another review from me in the future. Overall I'd say if you have read my review and it sounds like this unit does what you are looking for then buy it. I have really enjoyed reading Amazon product reviews and will continue to write my own (this is my first) but I am not one to say don't buy or buy a certain product based on my use, that's not for me to decide, I'll give you an honest usage example and you can decide. For me, <$35 and free shipping was great and I probably would have kept it if it fit in my desired door frame. MU
