I like this watch. Timex is a good brand. The watch is worth the price.

Can you imagine James Bond (Fictional) or Paul Newman (Real) fumbling for the cell phone just to see what time it is?? Seriously, I get great compliments on this watch. It has a great solid feel to it and the quality is miles above watches that are only $10 cheaper. The Indiglo light is the best feature of any watch ever.True story - I got this watch for my birthday and coincidentally I looked into a briefcase I had not used in years. I found my old Timex Expedition watch in that bag...at this point it would have been ten years old and sitting in a bag in a closet for the last 5 years. Not only was it still running, not only did the Indiglo light still work - but the time was still accurate to within one minute! This watch is amazing one battery 10 years and it did not lose one minute of time in 5 years. I gave that one as a present to a very appreciative young man and kept this new one just for me!

If you like basic watches this is the one for you. It’s a great Timex watch and an easy and reliable way to tell time.The color scheme or really nice. It’s a nice light blue on the inside, with light beige markings. The leather strap is a medium hue of beige too. I enjoy these neutral colors that go with everything.The strand is kind of a knock off leather, so as time progresses, the strand gets darker and dirtier.I like this watch and I love the company. I plan on buying a couple more down the road.

Great looking watch for a great price. Mostly durable, with impressive accuracy and little need for readjustment. This watch goes with most anything casual and can even be dressed up a little, although it is not exactly something I would wear with a suit. The size and design of the watch is understated enough that it isn't glaring and thus can be thrown on without much thought. I've still received quite a few compliments on it though!Customer service from Timex is great as well. My first watch had the stem snap off after a few months when it caught on my backpack. I sent it in an envelope to Timex with a note explaining what had happened, and within two weeks they sent me a new watch for no charge. Very impressed by their speed and willingness to help.While I am sure you can find a nicer watch for more money, the improvements would likely be too minor to justify the money for me. Highly recommend the Expedition Scout!

I waited a few months before writing a review. I was looking for something that wasn't flashy, was masculine and didn't look cheap. I also wanted an understated classic look. This is that watch. No cheap looking materials here. I don't like the glossy black leather look on watch bands so I opted for this brown leather band. The band will start to patina nicely after a couple months.So far so good on all accounts. As others have noted, it is a loud ticker. Like time bomb in a movie loud if you are in a quiet room. Fine during the day but I can't have it in the same room when sleeping.Update: An observation after a few more months is that this watch seems to lose a minute every month or so. Also the band is aging faster than I would have expected. It has stretched out a few millimeters. Still happy with the watch though.

I got this watch because I am a huge fan of a good watch over pulling my phone out every time I need to check the time, but in the manufacturing environment I am in, wearing one of my nice dress watches just really isn't realistic. I went with this one because I had heard good things about Timex quality recently improving and living in Connecticut I also wanted to try and support local (sort of). I could not be happier with this watch! It is very durable, the time is very accurate, and I didn't even realize until i got it but it has a light up dial when you push the crown in. It is now my everyday watch and has supplanted some of my nicer watches on a night out.

Let me start by saying this is a very good watch. I had been looking at it for months and I was excited to buy and wear it. This being a casual watch, the grey face makes it ideal for most every casual outfit. However there is a problem. I have purchased the watch and exchanged it twice, the problem being the indiglo feature. For the first watch I received the face did not light up completely, there was a small section at the bottom of the six that did not light up. For this reason I exchanged it and the second watch was the same. For the second watch I tried to look past the fact that it didn't light up completely, but after about a week the indiglo feature stopped working. I pressed the crown and it just went out like a light bulb. I sent this back and hoped that the third watch I got would be fine, but its the exact same problem! I think amazon may have a defective product with the timex expedition watches. Aside from the indiglo feature, the watch itself works great and with no problems whatsoever. I was picturing a slightly smaller watch face (i'm a woman who usually likes men's watches); this was a bit more bulky looking than I'd hoped. Also, short band latch was hard to unlatch from the hole. On the good side, the whole watch was cheaper than me replacing just the watch band on my old Timex "easy to read" watch.
