Half of my grape jelly was destroyed by flawed jars and Lids! HORRIBLE! I am lucky I did not get scalded. Water was able to get in to the jelly. If I hadn't caught it serious illness could have resulted as well. I AM LIVID!

These jars can not withstand hot liquid. I always suspect that pickling jars may not take boiling hot liquid, so I let the brine cool down to the point when I could test it with my finger. After pouring the warm brine in the jar and securing the lid, the jar cracked. This happened to three jars. I would not recommend these jars for pickling or jamming, they cannot withstand hot or warm liquid.

I failed to open this box for several weeks, so I missed the return deadline. The accompanying literature with these jars instructs that they are not temperature safe. It specifically states no microwaves, ovens, or freezers, so presumably, actual canning is out of the question. It also states not to subject the glass to temperature changes.This makes them useless for the advertised "deal for Jams, Jellies, Conserves, Preserves, Fruit Syrups, Chutneys." Upon review of the description, it does state in one part of the decorative portion of the listing to "Please avoid extreme temperatures."Pointless purchase and waste of money.

I had an idea to use these for my spice drawer. They turned out really nice and I love them. I think the jars were overpriced because when I found them in the store they were $8.99 for 12 jars in comparison to what I paid for here on Amazon. The only difference was it came with the little circle labels and a pen. Don’t think I’d buy it from Amazon again because of the price but now that I have them I do love them.

I was under the impression these were made anywhere other than Communist China. I was very disappointed to find they were not.

I had to ding a star because of the lids. The jar is good for canning. I boiled them hard and not cracking occurred. The lids were my issue. They were very thin and I didn't feel confident the lids would seal properly after I got a look at them. I opted for better lids. I am a Ball/Mason/Kerr loyal canner. I am branching out and experimenting with other brands as costs and availability are becoming a factor. So jars, great so far! Lids, not do much. The set did come with chalkboard stickers and pen which is kind of cool. Would recommend for home canning. Also the diamond shape is on the outside but there is some texture on the inside as well

Was happy to find this size jar for a reasonable price. But the jars themselves have issues:1. Limited rapid heat/cold adaptability, so they can crack2. Lids will rust3. The edges of the lid liners are very sharp (sliced a finger)Overall, these will be once and done for me. Won't be giving them as a gift due to the sharp edges.

Opened the package up & was looking at the jars. Unscrewed the lid off the first one & it has a sharp chip in the neck of the jar where you screw the lid on. It's pretty sharp so I don't think I will be using this one. Haven't checked them all so I don't know if there's more or not. I was in the middle of being busy & had to get back to what I was doing. Never had this happen to me in all my years of canning & making jelly. Not likin it much either.
