Superb and authentic
Great Sahlab cooked great great taste and authentic ingredients! Superb!

mostly starch and sugar
I would not recommend this product. It is very little taste, if any, of Sahlab. Even the procudt mname is misleading..it says Lebanon Valley, but it is made in Jordan.

Not authentic
Not the best sahlab brand I have had! The flavor is a bit off but it still gets the job done!

Not true salep
I'm a nurse, and every year, I make 5 or 6 homemade ice creams, complete with vessels and homemade sauces and toppings, to show my appreciation and love to the staff I work with. I always include one new, fun, or funky ice cream. This year, (our 6th), the controversial ice cream was to be Elastic Turkish Ice Cream. Which, to be honest, I've never had, much less made. So, I bought this product largely because I didn't want to spend $150 for it elsewhere online. My recipe called for 1 tsp of salep. Well, I dutifully followed directions, and my 4 cups of milk ended up down the drain, as the mixture didn't remotely thicken while cooking. I tried again, and that time I put in an extra 2 tsps. at a time until it finally started to thicken up in the 30-40 min cooking time required to end up a pudding consistency. I ended up using 34, yes, 34 teaspoons of this salep (as opposed to the one tsp the recipe called for) to get any kind of thickness. I am happy to say the ice cream turned out fantastic, it was Elastic Turkish Ice Cream, stretchy, yummy, and so fun to eat!! Just writing this to let you know this item is probably mostly sugar. Not pure salep. I put in 34 times the amount required for the recipe!!

Very poor quality; mostly starch and sugar; very little sahleb. Opt for Turkish varieties; much better quality.

Didnt like it
I found this difficult to cook, it tends to clump easily. Could be due to my technique, not sure. Besides that, i did not like the taste either, it tastes too artificial.

It's not a 100% SAHLAB !! IT'S 100% SUGAR .
