Incubator Warehouse Insta Brooder™ Enclosed Brooder Pen for Hatchlings

For what it is intended a very smart solution for a temporary brooder.Depending on your needs this is perfect for small clutches. I bring this point up as I would not use it for large clutches (30 chicks) or as a permanent large brooder solution. My particular needs are smaller and temporary. My birds usually hatch spring/summer and I only have anywhere from 5-15 chicks in there at a time.Easy to keep an eye on them and hear what they are doing. Mesh door on top makes access a breeze.Why not 5 stars for cleaning. Included are paper pads to place prior to the bedding. My chicks have managed to spill their water, multiple times, and the pads have been destroyed. I do not fault the manufacturer for this as it is what birds do. The effort to “wash it out” will be complicated by the access door on top, but realistically should only add about five minutes or so to the process.The material is a nylon like mesh consistency matches most pop up tents. Birds will peck and scratch, but anything bigger with sharper claws , looking at you cat, will be able to gain access without much effort. Something to keep in mind.Overall very satisfied with the product and the design that went into it. The access point for the heat plate power cord is so useful.

Very simple set up. Has a small cut out for brooder cord. Plenty of room for our 6 new chicks to grow until warm enough to go outside. Weekly clean up is also a breeze to remove shavings, wipe down and put in fresh shavings for them. Pictures show without mesh top, then zippered mesh top. Chicks get a little rowdy when zipping and unzipping but quickly settle. Really glad I found and purchased this!

Nice brooder, super easy to set up, unfolds instantly. Only complaint I have is on the zipper. The zipper is not very strong so it pulls apart at times once closed. Also I never fully unzip it as it is really hard to get it started again. It is flimsy so if you have any other animals you want to keep out (dog or 3 very mosey cats) it is not going to stand up to them jumping on top of it. You also will not be able to hang anything from it. I use a heat plate for the chicks so it works for me but if you use a heat lamp you will need to find a way to hang it over the brooder. The brooder itself is very lightweight so it easily moves around. It comes with two paper liners for the bottom. I use bed chucks as well to cover the bottom to give it (and my floors) more protection.

This will help make brooding birds a cleaner experience.

I have chickens, and every couple of years I order more day old chicks. The issue is always what to keep them in that protects them, and is easy to clean. This product fits the bill perfectly! It almost unfolds itself, has a much needed zippered top, and is very easy to clean. What a FANTASTIC idea!!

This item is very easy to assemble, love the light weight design, and durability. I would like if there was an upgrade option where you could purchase optional metal posts to slide in where the item currently has pliable wiring. Simply because a I have mischievous kittens and they keep jumping on top of the brooder out of curiosity. If I could make the item more sturdy and make it harder to collapse it would be a great upgrade. But I give this item an A++++ rating, great product, great quality, is exactly as described, and does exactly what it's meant to. Fast shipping and reasonable price. I would recommend this item and this seller to anyone looking for a like item.

This brooder arrived yesterday and upon opening it found it had a thumb sized tear in it and it has staining on most of the green panel. Unfortunately, I had a chick hatch a day early and I have no choice but to use it. I will be reaching out to the company in addition to posting this review.Other than that, it popped open easily and it folds down to the size of a dinner plate, which is convenient. I love the concept but I’m disappointed in the quality control.Editing to add: I ended up taping the hole closed and brooding 8 chicks in it for 5 weeks. It was getting very small for them at that point but it kept them safe and contained without issue until they were feathered enough to go outside. I will use it again.

I’ve used everything from cardboard boxes to cattle troughs as chick brooders. This pop up brooder solves all of the problems I’ve experienced in the past - it’s easy to set up, lightweight to move, and the zippered top prevents escapees. I wish I had this brooder years ago.
