Sawbona!
This is great to have on ipad or if you have some fancy kindle! Great for travelling, although don't get robbed flashing your goods about in deepest Africa. Really wish there were more products to learn Zulu. I had the original book & CD set before moving onto this as I couldn't take everything with me, really could have just bought this in the first place. It is expensive but so unfortunately are the book & CDs which when I bought them, had to be purchased separately. There just aren't that many resources to learn Zulu with...normally I hate the 'teach yourself' series, they are so disorganised, grammar all over the place, vocab here and there. I prefer a more structured approach using Pimsleur, Michel Thomas and Living Language. Sadly none of these have anything for Zulu!Another thing that's striking about learning Zulu, in every language course you do 'family' and 'jobs' and cover the vocab here. You do times of day when its time to master past and future tenses etc.. In the Zulu course, you learn how to speak to your Zulu maid and the Zulu guy cleaning your car's windscreen wipers, learning vocabulary relevant to that. OK, so this was published in 1994 (and written before the end of Apartheid) but its definitely time for an update!

Positive
So far, it is satisfactory. Just using it to revive my more fluent Zulu of more than 65 years ago.Hope it helps to stave off mental deterioration.

Zulu audio book disappointing
Did not meet my expectations. The audio is not appropriate to the language. How can you teach people to speak Zulu when the audio voice is American??
